Yes, friendship is the main theme in this episode. Character development was great, now we know some very interesting details in characters and their behavior. And now I like Mio much more, heh. Also, I like the scenery of another small city.

9 out of 10 : Excellent.

K-ON Episode 2 was entertaining and surprisingly... Tsumugi's Eyebrows are powerful... Slight improvement over the first episode, but not much.

Rating: 8.6/10 -> 9

Wow, I mean, just wow. I mean, I like K-On, so far its a good show. Probably my favorite of the new season, at least so far, but to already give it its own sub-folder, while other shows, like Minami-ke never get one... Just amazing how subjective the process to decide which shows get the special treatment and which don't.

I don't think that's it - I mean, I've never been to Minami-ke forum but I'm pretty confident that it didn't grow as big as the K-ON! one - with just 2 episodes it already had surpassed 1000 replies and it was just growing bigger and bigger... and many people requested a sub-forum so I guess that counts as well....

the episode is making the series more interesting and fun now that i realized what the problem was with series in the first place. I got to see the characters better and learn about their personalties clearer, but yet i feel like ive seen this group of people before
Spoiler for favorite parts:
jeez these girls are so dense but thats why i love em

Aww, I liked the way they did that peel off scene in the manga. It was much more funnier then in the anime.

Clearly, the best part was Ritsu's reason to play the drums.

So true!

I did not like this episode as much as the first.

The manner in which episode 2 unfolded for me became intoxicating at times, to say the least. They are overplaying the different personalities of the characters. For example, Yui may not be the brightest girl, but she is acting so stupidly (Is this some kind of moe fetish for Otakus?) that it makes me want to bang my head on the wall. Incidents like "Oh it was so shiny so I was afraid to play it" just boggle me. Do people honestly find moments like this entertaining? Do they enjoy seeing someone act this dimwitted? I can't understand how this comes off as being moe either.

Oh well... I just hope we get more to the musical aspect of this show rather than the life and times of pea brained Yui.

With all that said I still give this episode a 7/10, and that just may be because I like the ED so much as to warp my opinion.

haha traffic observation I only found out about about 8 months ago when I saw a bunch of guys in yellow coats sitting on a walkway over the M8. Me and my brother were wondering what they were there for, then a show on TV later that day mentioned about them and thats how I learnt about it all

I would never have thought I would see it come up in anime and much less in a show like this

click click click!

ahh expect the guys here had clipboards

"Moe is inherently subjective".

I find Yui more funny than moe, myself.
