As for EP7 lenght
Just for comparison, with my file sizes: EP3: 2,00MB EP4: 2,40MB EP5: 1,96MB EP6: 2,06MB EP7: 1,87MB I use a software called Jwpce to organize the text I rip from the game, and not have to fuck my ctrl key searching for information, just to notice. However, since EP7 is a bit more polished than the others, I'd say its a bit closer to EP5.

Romaji of all new characters have been already found out, save one (those who had read ep7 know whom I'm talking about).
We are still waiting for Ryukishi's confirmation, but that is not really a big priority for the moment. Meanwhile, I'm done with all pictures, except the "book", which also requires some help from Ryukishi (nearly unreadable portions on the left side).

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I managed to get Umineko along with the WH patch to work on my iPhone/iPod Touch. I've only tested it with EP 4 but there's no reason why it wouldn't work with the other EPs.
The hardest part with getting this to work completely was to build a working version of onscripter-en for iPhone, which I did (although with a quite old version, I couldn't get newer versions onscripter-en to work). I'm going to release this build and a tutorial soon after I test more stuff and after my exams. Here are some screenshots: Spoiler for Umineko:

Speaking of which, has there been any word on this? Like, are there any big code differences between 6 and 7 that might be an issue for creating the patch for 5&6 on Ep 7?

Can anyone help me out real quick?
I just bought Umineko Ep 7 at Mandarake the other day in Akihabara. It took me a few stores to find a place that had it in stock, but luckily Mandarake did. (plus they give out free slipcases and comics with their first print stock!) I want to play it on my macbook pro, but I forgot the method... I remember it being something with replacing and moving around certain files, but I don't remember too well. Does anyone remember how to get it working for mac? To get EP7 working on a Mac:
1. Create a folder for the contents of the disc in Applications. 2. Insert the disc, double-click the disc icon, and copy all of its contents into the folder. (A lot of these probably aren't necessary like the .exe but they don't take up much space so I just kept them) 3. Then copy ONScripter and default.ttf into the fullsrc folder. To get these files go to the Witch Hunt patch folder for either 1-4 or 5-6 and right click the game icon and click 'Show Package Contents'. Then take default.ttf from the Resources folder. To get ONScripter, follow Roto's link below. 4. Now all you need to do is go into the EP7 folder, into fullsrc and then run ONScripter. I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but this worked for me for both EP6 and EP7. Last edited by TW25; 2010-08-31 at 20:44. Reason: Fixing error. |

The proper solution is to grab the latest release of ONScripter-EN for Mac OS X and use that. Pulling the default.ttf file out of the bundle is perfectly okay, though. |
