Was the references to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei accurate? I have never watched that series before but I still wanted to know how those jokes work.

Anyway the preview shows some great stuff coming next episode, Chiharu Harukaze!!!! c142++

Hmm, judging from the preview, it look like they will but out the alligator battle or they will put it after the birthday arc. Also, they cut out the part where it show Ayumu reason for going to work also the part that Maria get piss at SP afterward, but no big deal really.

I thought the gator battle took place before the Isumi maid incident. Since the focus character was Risa, it doesn't seem important enough to include even if it's in the op.

Censorship in this episode: In the manga Ayumu was wearing a regular bra, and Hayate saw a lot more.

The next episode begins Sakuya's birthday party, but I don't see how it will last long enough for the ferris wheel scene to be in the last episode.

Are we 100% confirmed we will only see 26 episodes for this season? Because I see several sign that it might be more.

1. Op didn't change till episodes 18

2. The release of the dvd are lateish for a 26 episodes series. Japan has a habit of start releasing the dvd/blu ray at mid way point of the serie.

3. I guess.... wishful thinking...?

I'm fairly sure HNG 2's episode count is 25. Anyway it won't run past september. Remember that it airs at late night (while 1st season aired on mornings) hence it can't have a 50 eps running, because either you go for the audience, if you air at day, either you go for dvd/bd sellings, if you air at late night. That's also the reason why we got much more fanservice than in first season, to attract buyers.

Anyhow, nice episode, I'd say every Ayumu episode of the whole 75 until now (1st, 2nd and OVA all included) has never failed to amuse me. Way to go, Hamster!

"Kyoubashi Animation", "The Melancholy of Whatever Anyway", those are the classical HNG hardcore references.

Although, other than the whole Maria gag at the end, the best line of the episode has to remain Ayumu's: "Looking at it again, I'm glad I was wearing cute lingerie" XD

Maybe it is because of my race, I was laughing my head off when Nagi wanted to give Hayate a wristwatch, albeit a special one.

Spoiler for implication:

Giving a person a clock means to send the person (dead) off. And since a watch is considered a clock and it is a "special watch", I couldn't help it but laugh.

Ayumu in cami fanservice.....Nagi and Hina shouldn't feel so bad about being flat-chested. Plus bespectacled Maria in farmgirl and nurse-with-cardigan!!!!

That ending scene with Ashibashi sensei somehow reminded me of Akagi. And what's with the weird analogies Nagi was making when she was arguing with Ayumu?

Nurse outfits fit well into fresh, 17-year-old, if they're into cosplay but are not seen well when walking into regular cafés.

Regular cafés do not enjoy a boastful popularity like maid café and otaku cafés do in Japan.
