How are those retcons? Those are exactly how they happened in the manga.

Gaara's father wasn't a misunderstandng. He did put Gaara through those hardships and he did acknowledge that. He IS however, relieved to know that Gaara became a fine Kazekage despite this fact.

sakura's hawt, saying she's ugly is just craziness... gotta agree that all the kunoichi are hot unless they are elderly. chiyo didn't really do it for me
