Wasn't anyone else pissed and fuming at how they didn't show the fight between Shichika and Sabi Hakuhei? I was really looking forward to it especially after the anticipation and build up toward that fight in the first three episodes. Ever since episode one, the anime showed many signs of foreshadowing that Sabi would fight Shichika and that he would be one of the toughest, if not the toughest of all his opponents. All three of the first episodes were designed to build up anticipation for that fight, and then we don't get to see it at all. It's almost as if we got Rick Roll'd.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciated seeing Nanami not being a delicate maiden like the first ep was designed to make us believe, although I'm not to surprised that she actuakky is quite strong. That she's a freak of nature was something I didn't expect. But after seeing this fight, I'm quite glad that Shichika was chosen to lead the Kyotoryuu. Nanami, being so powerful, would most likely end up seeing everyone as inferior and weak, and would ultimately end up abusing her strength against others. This ep showed that unlike Shichika, she has no qualms when it comes to handling a real sword (despite coming from a family of swordsmen who don't use swords). I sure as hell hope they make it up for us and make Nanami the final boss (and actually show us the fight) because I think she really will end up being consumed by one of the twelve swords' allure. She certainly seems the type to want more and more power as she picks up more new techniques. |

I didn't think anyway episode 4 would shock me than angel beats did this week, and yet it did. This episode was simply awesome, any series that can make a 'troll' episode and still has be so enjoyable, and interesting deserves a high rating in my book. ED4 was great, and ED 5 I am interested in cause of the singer .
Hmmm an almost Yandere, and almost Tsundere that would be an odd yet interesting yuri pairing to say the least . Quote:
Also her "If I had to name it I guess my stance would be Kyoutoryuu: Stance Zero, Fig Tree" line made die laughing.

BD3 and Box1 cover previews leaked, the latter illustrated by Take.
It kinda surprises me. On all three BD covers so far, Togame doesn't have her cross-shaped eye. You know, that's her main appearance feature. Weird. Spoiler for images:
First volume of Original Soundtrack is finally announced to be released on June 23rd. Description claims that the audio mastering was done at Los Angeles studio known as "Sterling Sound" by Gorge Marino. Who is this guy? I am honestly glad to see that there will be more than one short album, there are lots of music in Katanagatari already. Last edited by Daniel Lind; 2010-05-11 at 02:24. |

No and No. I liked the fact that they didn't show the fight and that's apparently how it is in the novels too, so its awesome. And it won't be fun at all if Nanami is used as the cliched final boss. I disagree with your judgment that Nanami is the type who runs after power. She chose to stay in the island until she noticed that her bro wasn't safe and curses her ability to copy powers. She doesn't even sound remotely interested in ruling others or anything like that. That said, she is obsessed with her bro and is beyond sadistic. I don't see any sword corrupting her, the other way around seems more probable. I mean, how can a weaker poison corrupt a stronger one lol.

Episode 02 ending full lyrics:
Spoiler for lyrics:
Absolutely random Russian word out of nowhere is absolutely random. Dunno if I should be surprised after Vietnamese rapping in the show's background music, but still. At least pronounce it correctly, Shoujobyo! Update: The third EP5 preview is up on the official website. I cannot help but wonder --- why do they do that? EP2 5 minute digest is also up. Hahaha oh wow. I haven't see a minor-character-that-died-right-after-being-introduced loved this much since Burger-kun. Well, to be fair, Koumori had some decent screentime. So, am I missing another joke here or is it pure fangirl crack?
