The fall wasn't all too bad ... he was prolly just knocked out ... maybe a concussion.

Looks like he hit his jaw on the way down. That would knock just about anyone out.

/me get this knowledge about the jaw being a weak point from Hajime no Ippo

He's not dead lol ... it was a bad fall ... but I've seen people pass out from a hard punch.

I've broken my jaw twice and stayed conscious both times, I refute you on the basis of experience. Besides, if you watch the fall carefully, not only did his head not hit the stage/platform but the position he fell in and the way his body twisted during the fall would mean he landed on his back.

It's far more likely that he's either winded or struck the back of his head on impact.
