When I'm alone, I'll say "itadakimasu" when I'm about to eat. I always look for subtitles in English films and T.V. I'll mutter "baka" when someone is annoying the hell out of me or is just being an idiot.

However, I've always walked with my hands behind my head and rubbed the back of my head when I'm thinking.

My life has always been like a harem anime anyway. Just kidding .

I speak to myself in Japanese, like "Nanda kore wa?" when I see something weird.

Also I think I'm starting to pray to Haruhi-sama.

I often say
~'ah' instead oh 'oh'
~'hee' instead of 'what' [like in the "NANIII!?"-way]
~'hmm' instead of 'yes'
~'bainbain' instead of 'bye bye'
~'bubububu'/'mumumumu'/etc, just cause I feel like saying so

I also
~dance when I'm bored
~use lot of '8D'- and ':3'-smilies
~like to wear skirts and dresses
~like to have weird/cute hairdos
~have learnt to be myself
~walk hands on/behind my head

I don't usually say Japanese words in the middle of Finnish/English sentences, and now I'm going to avoid doing so even more. *just realised how annoying it is if you don't do it right and believably*

I had some Japanese words in my vocabulary before seriously paying attention to anime - or at least anime in Japanese - but some words got kinda stuck to me, like chotto matte instead of saying wait, itte!! instead of ay! (Spanish for ouch!, but I do use ouch! as well even when talking in Spanish). The one most seriously affected is my boyfriend, for now I talk to him using a Spanish/English/Japanese mix (poor thing, he gets some of it because he also likes anime, but he's not as good learning languages as I am, so when using Japanese he stares at me with these eyes, LOL).

Aren't those regular habits anyone should have ^_^? Well expect the japanese phrases.

Try not to mix languages like the japanese do. Here's a good example that i've read ^_^. Ex. Inuyasha is so kawaii.

Nah, no habits. I just do the regular nail bitting every once a while, but that's normal for me though.

ps: i do that only when i'm bored, stressed, antipication, other suchs matters like these too.

I could argue that linguistically English *IS* a polygot of languages ranging from Saxon, French, German, Spanish, Native American, Angle, and any other language it chased down an alley, mugged, and looted. It is just a matter of time before we mix a lot of Japanese and Chinese in --- and (at least on the West Coast) start sounding more like the crew from Firefly or the people in Bladerunner.

Chiro says "yare yare" too... Sometimes, Chiro goes an entire day saying 90% of everything in Japanese... that's not so much a manneurism, but yeah...

"iyah" = "no"
"sokah" = "i see"
"honto ni honto ni honto?" = "really?"
"hai" = "yes"
and a crap more of those jap phrases

And ofcourse, bowing to represent respect.

My family would ask me what I just said.

Heh... there is one thing that I have been doing a lot lately. When my sister is annoying me, I simply say "urusai" ... (just did this like a minute ago) .. she replied with "I'm a what" ... then I told her it means shut up.. then she replied with "Stop speaking foreign at me" ...

I say "ah" instead of "yeah" quite a lot... And in my mind something is "kawaii" instead of cute now...

I also don't think I had any preference for lolita or pantsu before watching anime... or girls with tales... anime has seriously perverted me

Haha, same here(except for the retarded part). I actually get embarrased for people when they say 'baka', etc.

But, sometimes, when I'm a bit unhinged from stress, I enter my private quarters and recite really bad engrish. Recently it has been "beyonddo zha gravv-oh" from the first episode of Hellsing. It's highly theraputic.
Oh yeah, when I'm reading a graphic novel that reads left to right, I, for the first few frames, get so confounded that I am somewhat like a deer in the headlights.

I'm not sure this is innocent or not,just want to share with the others.

habit 1. When I see cute girls on the train when I going to work,I used to rub my nose unconsiously,hoping that a few blood wold come out.I'm sure they would be happy seeing me nose bleeding in front of them.

habit 2. Fanstacizing about harem to come one day like in Shuffle and Kagekaramamoru.

habit 3. Buying the figurine and giving as the birthday gifts for the people I keeps in touch with even though they know nothing about anime and manga.

(this is quite a *hash hash* thing that I don't let my gf knows ^^;; )

Lessee..... I'm another middle finger glasses adjuster, I have a tendency to say "yare yare," "nyoro," and "zo to," I keep trying to appear suddenly behind people, and I occasionally start talking with a japanese accent when I'm quoting someone from an anime. (Particularly Paladin Alexander Anderson. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME~N!)
