The studio wasn't announced yet? Seems like this wouldn't be aired on Spring. I'm more concerned about the staff and the studio rather than the VAs.

Right, the studio hasn't been announced yet. I assume they will do it in one of the publishers magazines that gets released by the end of the month. It has already been announced that that magazine would have a special about the anime (and a Campione drama CD... *WANT*)...

What's a drama CD anyways? Often hear about it, never saw one.

It's a CD with an audio drama track, basically it's the characters' VAs reading a script of a story- Usually a side story meant as either exposition or just fluff. It's cheaper than making an animation.

Every self-respecting series has one.

These are usually originally stories and not an adaptation.

I also know of at least drama CD that's nothing more but a retelling of certain scenes from the original series (made it easier to follow for me at that time). However, for Campione you are right, it will be a story especially written by the author, like the short stories.
