I found this episode somewhat good, it was obvious that it would be rushed but the way they handled the Cocytus moment was horrible, the way their techniques were animated too...especially Leo's.

Erika's discussion with Toshikazu could have been longer. Some choices are rather questionable.

First thing I don't like is how they did sc arc "they screw Azusa scene" >_< second they screw this arc most especially miyuki scene, the healing reveal and lastly they cut important scene ugh ..... >_<

Part of the problem is, I think, that Cocytus isn't a flashy magic. Like Tatsuya's Decomposition, it isn't a magic that looks spectacular or that has visually extravagant results. Reading the novels, I always pictured the magic users making only the slightest of movements and suddenly the opponent never moves again or has simply vanished. The novel descriptions are chilling (no pun intended), stark, almost haunting. Where the anime erred was in trying to make magic like Cocytus visually appealing. So we have weird things like clouds of cold air and of course those visible activation sequences. But the tense and creepy atmosphere of the novels is gone. Rather than CG, I think a better use of music and lighting would have been more effective in conveying how horrifying Cocytus is.

And it doesn't help that the entire scene was a dud. No sense of danger, none of the sudden horror of Kei and Kirihara being gunned down, no sense of Miyuki's fury. No emotion at all really.

Part of that (the loss of horror and lack of fury) was intentional i think.

Even in enrollment arc, they censored it. Miyuki was supposed to have killed all of them in cold blood, but the anime fudges this. Not only does Miyuki regret it immediately afterwards, the anime makes it so that Tatsuya revives them somehow & Miyuki thanks him for it.

No, Myuki just froze the ones in the enrollment arc:

Fortunately, due to the Blanche members being caught by chance in a cold sleeve (owing to the nature of the magic, the internals of the members had been snap frozen in the blink of an eye, avoiding membrane rupture), it seemed they had not suffered irreplaceable losses to their flesh.

I guess the anime added in Tatsuya reviving them so they wouldn't have to animate another scene showing that Myuki wasn't a mass murderer.

And the ones in Yokohama were killed in the heat of battle not in cold blood. Unfortunately, the anime scene lacks any emotion.

Man after watching ep22, it just reignite my hate for Hirakawa Chiaki.
Why didn't they boot her out of the school for cooperated with the invading force and using harmful weapons.
Yes I know, she was brainwashed to believe Tatsuya was the reason her sister was depress and all but come on, even after arc, she still give shit to Tatsuya. SOMEONE PLEASE SLAP SOME SENSE IN HER!!!!

Because in the end, magicians are rare in numbers and need to be made use of as cruel as that may be. Also, her grudge was only on Tatsuya. There wasn't really a sign that she would consider defecting to another country entirely.

They will and should explain his Regrowth magic but I don't find it necessary to explain MB, as long as they show clearly Tatsuya target the water drop. With Sanada's comment it should be enough
