More seriously, at least Touma felt Misaki's familiar after meeting her for the 1st time, as opposed to a flat 'nope, nothing at all is ringing a bell' for Mikoto emotionally. That alone tells a lot about how much closer Misaki is.
(then again, Mikoto did engrave something into Touma that's beyond memory loss, ie Touma's reflexive blocking of thunder. Not that Mikoto would be happy about this one though )

It might be just me wanting Touma to save Mitsuari in the past, since it didn't explain who save or how Mitsuari manage to survive the suicide attempt.
So I think Touma did save her and she either doesn't rememeber due her memory got manipulated or she wasn't aware it was Touma who save her.

this would make sense, well, we get the hint that IB cant affect miracles and that they are something that exists besides science-esper-powers and magic...
this would actually prove that IB cant negate them, which would give us the question, why?
it can negate magic and esper stuff, and miracles are supernatural too, if it cant neagte it, it would mean that IB never had the sole purpose/function to stop distorions but that it was the only side effect we saw until now

all in all, i agree, this would give some concrete hints and well, kamachi likes his "psydo"-"i have planned everything"

Misaki ended up damaging the segments of Touma's brain that allow him to recognize and remember her. What the novel states is that his memories of her exist but he lacks the pathways to remember those specific memories, so he for example knows he talked with someone but can't make the connection that it's her. Is this the way it is? Is that why he doesn't recognize her at the end of the volume despite having interacted with her a bunch of times post-memory loss?

So any idea of what happened to Mitsuari in the end (other than getting Falcon Punched)? Also, I guess this means TouMAN has another harem member now. Or was she already in the harem since she knew him before Misaki and was pissed that Misaki stole her place to be saved by him? And does this mean he finally has a yandere gunning for him? I hope it does.

If this is true, I'm kinda hoping that one day someone cyborg-ize parts of Touma's brain (it seems like something Aleister might do to keep control of IB) and fix up that particular memory problem, if Dragon Breath didn't wipe that out along with everything else anyway even though the passage was blocked.

My theory is if that memory is still currently there, locked away by some unknown power/ability, then that means Dragon Breathe only destroys the current memories, wiping it out, but doesn't wipe out excluded areas of the mind, which could explain he can't remember family members and relatives after post Index... so maybe the excluded area of Touma's brain can be recovered by HC? maybe?

I think we need more info on Dragon Breathe's specs.

It's more likely that Dragon Breath erased his memories of Misaki, and even if the power that keeps him from remembering Misaki were fixed he would only remember events after Dragon's Breath.

Also, erasing memories wasn't an ability of Dragon Breath that was just the end result of being hit by it.
