The match settings are pretty much the same as the first series, however we're not being shown the whole matches, just parts of them. In this case, the first half off Yuu's segment, but not the second, and the first half of Ako's.
Spoiler for Stuff:
As for Shizuno going naked except for her jersey (and we haven't seen ANY evidence saying otherwise), I thought it was part design choice (just having a ponytail won't be enough make her stand out), and part reflection of Shizuno's personality.

Shizuno could be allergic to some types of fabric as a possibility?
As for Kuro, I am reminded of my cricket playing days as she reminds me of a lot of quick scoring players who 'only' have one or at the most two big shots in their arsenal. These type of players are easily set up by changes in the field and style of bowling soon enough. Captains work this type of player out surprisingly quickly. Same must be true for mah-jong.

Let's see.
The show really seems intent on padding these extra scenes into the individual matches. I'm ambivalent towards it for now. It was nice seeing Yuu's power in action regardless. For one thing, it's a lot easier to use than Kuro's power. It's no where nearly as haxx as, say, Saki or Koromo's powers, but it does the job. Honestly though, it was Ako's match that was more interesting for me. She's the one labelled as the most skilled player in Achiga right now despite being "normal". Her little scuffle with Cela was a fun watch, though Cela ended up on top. Next up is Arata's match. I'm kinda looking forward to this actually since the manga didn't really show her match. That said, I'm hoping to watch her play mahjong. I'd be disappointed if it was just a load of flashbacks and backstory.

Next episode, we are going to have a match between serious Arata and Senriyama's meganeko Hiroko. Hopefully, their match won't drag too long because I really want to at least get a glimpse of what Toki's yuri partner can do aside from being her personal pillow.
Another thing, is there anything that Mihorogi-pro doesn't not know? Last edited by teja208; 2012-05-14 at 12:17. |

This current one: at least 3-4 times per episode. On top of that, I cleanup the rule book at this site: http://saki.wikia.com/wiki/Japanese_mahjong Granted, this material is written across many other places in the Internets.

Gotta play the game to figure out. Took me like a couple of months to get the basics without anyone actually helping me.

If there's one thing about this series, is that we're all given assumptions. The last two episodes have remedied that a bit, because we now know the following:
* Kuro is a Dora magnet. * Yuu has a higher-than-normal chance of getting tiles with red ("warm") bits in them. * Ako goes for quick hands, and likely is the most "normal" player in the team (like Nodoka minus her Nodocchi mode). Hopefully they'll show what Arata can actually do.

-Red tiles only applies to any tile that is red, which also include Dora. Since Man and Chun(And some other pins and sous) has red, do not wait for those, or go for "GO Green!" campaign.(It is scary since almost 35% of them has red parts in their image.) -Why I can't fight against fast players? And is this time, the ending song is happy or serious modo?(Since there is a pattern.) Happy ending is ending 1(Happy Square Serenade...I think) Serious modo ending is ending 2.(Futuristic Player) What Arata may do: Something about the gloves makes it suspicious. Shizuno is still a ??? for me.
