Finally saw it subbed.
Wow... It's just too much to be believable. Particularly the letter that he left to the princess (in Floyardian with a totally different alphabet learned in 16 days at that all the while he was busy with battle and training!) in which he took the time to write the Milli full name instead of just "princess"... The letter from Galette with Biscotti seal was just too convenient... A bit more and he would had found a stargate under a rock |

I'm going to give this episode a 8/10.
I just adore how they played out the emotional scenes with Rico, Eclair, Milhi, and even Shinku before he was returned back to his own world. Rico not wanting anybody to be burdened with departing from Shinku in such a sad way trying desperately to find an alternative to make it less saddening. Especially towards the ending where she was still reading up on how to make the overall sadness be dubbed down, such determination is loved in my books! Eclair is as tsun as ever But that's the part I like about her, she tries ever so desperately to hide her true feelings for Shinku, especially when he gave her a present. While even making an indirect promise to Shinku that if he doesn't remember the people of Biscotti, then she will not remember him (although that seemed a little too harsh) that's just how great her tsun side is. Now the part with Milhi was heart-breaking. Not being able to hear Shinku's confession to her before they truly became departed while yelling out her feelings for him to hear. After hearing Rico's announcement that there the 3 requirements for the hero summoning were met without them actually knowing, and how her eyes gleamed with joy could raise any hearts Even sending the (amazing) dog to give Biscotti's treasured item all the way to Shinku that made him truly remember what was locked up inside his memory. During the departure, it was only after hearing the confession from Milhi that finally set Shinku's feelings for her straight, and making it noticable that he loves her as well. (very deep confession gets an A) Sad thing though is how overshadowed Becky is towards the entire season. As well as many other characters, especially Brioche. While we got to know that Yukikaze is atleast a deity, we still don't know too much about Brioche and how her role plays into the demon hunting. Just hope if there is really going to be a season 2, they can help fix that. This series overall gets a 7/10.

Nothing fancy, overblown, special about the ending. Actually, there was nothing special about Dog Days as an anime.
It's a proper ending with a great confession of love between Shinku and Princess Millihore. Emotional scene, however still not up to par with some of the other shows this season. But the part when Rico finds the letter with all the rules... ugh. So many rules flying out of nowhere. If I didn't know any better, I would have suspected Shinku of finding the letter beforehand and fulfilling all the requirements. Surely not, however. This is all at the writer's convenience. Overall, Dog Days is relaxingly mediocre; the plot does not go into unexplored territory, and offers little emotional intensity to interest viewers, minus the final confession scene between the Princess and the Hero. Even where fights are concerned, I often found myself between engaged and disinterested. The most interesting episode has to be number 10, when a big bad demon comes, nullifies all the previous safety rules, and causes tension for the first time in the anime's brief run. Simultaneously, I'm a very lenient and cruel rater: Every anime has a good chance of getting at least an 8/10, but only a small, select few go as high to 9/10. So, let me say how strange I feel when I give Dog Days a grade below the norm. Regardless, I doubt anyone will be surprised. Episode 13 Rating: 8.5/10 Cumulative Average Rating: 7.81/10 (C+) Best Episode: Episode 10 (8.5/10) |

May not be the best series out there for its various ups and downs, but the ending feels 'complete' and peaceful, which is a big plus. Had a good time watching this series, but i wont brand it exactly a top piece of quality, but a fun watch nonetheless.

Man I was a fan of Becky from the start altho we only got a little screen time from her then, and then the rest of the series they spend building on Shinku X Milli which I actually managed to get behind, then we got that little send off scene and it's like all set in stone to then have it all come crashing down when they show Becky once more at the end
Have no idea why I'm so into the Shinku X Becky but just am. Overall a good series for me, good enjoyable fun. The war games were a interesting part of the series. Heres hoping for another season!

Woah! That's awesome! I thought it was an official art at first too because it looks really good. Although for me though is that I'm actually looking more at Milli than Leon.

Lol! I think there is quite a few people in here with twin-tail fetish. At least mangatron did not say anything about spanking Becky... poor Rico.

They could also expand on the god and demon relationship as well, fighting for a higher cause. Quote:
As far as the Princess is concerned, they could reveal later that she can do a world travel spell and travel to our realm, with conditions that apply, of course. Overall, the series is very entertaining and is good to just enjoy from the daily stresses of life.

Ahem, that thing I mentioned yesterday was not the above pic. It's something interesting I've been typing out, and I hope to bring it out today, and not repeat an IS gaff (I had to sleep lol). What I've written for Dog Days is a very informative piece, which I hope there was some way to send it over to the Dog Days creators Last edited by mangatron; 2011-06-27 at 19:18.
