I really hope whoever got these two babies mixed-up lost their job. Although it's kind of on the parents for not recognizing the kids were obviously not there's
.
That was a really fun Opening! Great visuals, a fun and energetic beat, and showing off the lovely ladies of the cast quite well. Perfect for a Harem romcom
.
So we get introduced to our male lead, Nagi-kun, who has always felt out of sorts with his more boisterous and wild family when he's so serious and studious (which Kaito Ishikawa plays well), so no surprise they're not his biological family. But he has no intention of turning his back on his adoptive family, let alone his adoptive sister Sachi (voiced By Konomi Kohara)
.
Yoko Hikasa and Ryohei Kimura as a married couple of former delinquents? I'd watch that as its own thing any day
.
Don't you just love when you interrupt a (perceived) suicide attempt and get a fistful of boobs in the process
?
We meet our female lead, Erika, who is a flashy, spontaneous, beautiful, rich girl who thinks like an instagram star and without much in the way of common sense, and Akari Kito does a great job voicing her. When she doesn't want to get stuck in a forced engagement, she'll use Nagi's boob grab to force him to play her boyfriend for a day to ward her parents off
.
I love how she dressed them up as punks to pull this off. She wore that look amazingly, especially with those legs
.
Nagi was raised by former delinquents, so he knows how to throw a punch, and that lets him make short work of stalkers harassing Erika and inspire her to feel that the best way to resolve her problems is a good right-hook
.
It may have been a day of farce and Nagi reacting to Erika's lack of logic, but it was fun in its own way, and Erika really seems to have come to appreciate Nagi
.
What's the best solution for a couple who raised another child and want to get to better know their biological child without losing the one they raised? Why pairing the two kids up so they can all be one big happy family of course
.
Poor Nagi...Erika is a woman of her word, so she had to deliver on that punch
.
Nao Toyama as Nagi's intellectual rival who doesn't even know he exists and who he'll only confess to when he finally beats her academically? She probably won't win, but at least it might shake up the plot
.
So we've got Erika considering her engagement, Nagi focused on Hiro, and Sachi realizing their not biological siblings while reading that kind of romance manga...definitely seems like the love lives of these four characters is going to get pretty turbulent
.
The ED with all the girls as this hard rock punk band was...something. So many fishnets
.
