The date of the Ginza attack is apparently not the same day that the Gate first appeared. At least...probably a week or 2 before the Invasion of Ginza, the Earth side of the Gate first appeared in some random back alley in Tokyo.

they did cut out the dialogue about another earthshake coming, some dialogues about the king being well informed about Japan, the prince dragging his slaves into the throne room, some gore during Kuribayashi fight and beating up the prince (they didn't include Kuribayashi bending the prince's finger ), etc.

but I am satisfied and I know that the anime isn't following the manga in detail, though it would be amazing if they did.

AFAIK they kept in all the dialogue about the upcoming aftershock. Itami and Piña discussed it, and Zorzal mentioned it when he arrived. Both of those lead directly to major storyline events (the JSDF's first official encounter with the Emperor, the reveal of Noriko), so perhaps there was one or more trivial mentions of it that were left out (from Piña to the Emperor, maybe?).

Also, the anime is following the novel moreso than the manga (to the great detriment of the character designs, if you ask me), so perhaps there are some slight differences in the manga that aren't going to be adapted into the anime.

I just rushed the Flame Dagon Arc of the LNs. Looks like they actually tone down the incident after the earthquake.

The portal existed before the gate did.

Spoiler:

Hardy opens portals to other worlds every few centuries or so.
The various denizens of the gate world came from other universe, including humans of the Empire.

The portals are low profile and closes on their own after a while.
She opened one on Alnus that connected to Tokyo.
The Empire found it, and sent scouts through it to investigate. Noriko was kidnapped at this time.

Afterwards the Empire started to build a huge gate to bind the portal to stay open, and expand the entry so an army can enter.
The start of Gate story is when this gate was completed and activated with magic inscribed on its walls.

It's the same dimensional portal, the gate is basically just an upgrade.

i dont understand aohige you say in the last summary the bitch bunny say why itami never rescue her and she doesnt understand her suffering.... but that doesnt make sense since in manga and now anime episode in the eyes of itami she protect the piece of shit prince so how did she think itami knows that also i think itami thinks she likes the prince for many rapes and beats he give to her like some kind of mental disses so he doesnt involve since his own statemament remenber tuka problem that time....again all the shit she did along side the prince as the secretary during the time of inquisition i mean the FAD already has the information of his own envolment in this crap, so again what did she think itami is going to save the fuck slave who is in love for the prince in itamis eyes and mind since the incident after the quake, also she choose this path herself for revenge so whats the point in save me now bitch after all she has done?

also whats the history on the bitch and itamis soldier? did he knows she is the private fuck slave of the prince reactions?

You're seeing things way too black and white.
While consumed by hate and driven for revenge, Tyuule DOES indeed feel pity for herself, and deep down has the desire to be "saved".
It was an unconscious SOS signal moment that, for a second there, she thought someone was there to save her just like he saved Noriko.

It has nothing to do with her motive, or logic. It's entirely a burst of emotion.

In fact, it may have been this very moment that she realized there's only one way out of her misery and it's the route she put herself on already. If not for this moment, she may have taken a different route later on with Furuta...

We actually only need 12 episode cour after this season to finish the story, at the current pace.
This cour will cover two books in 12 episode. Book 2 and 3.
After that we only have book 4 and 5 to finish the first part of Gate.

I would like a 12 or 24 episode season afterwards to cover the Gaiden (essentially Gate 1.5), but we'll see.

1. Almost every other couple other than Itami does, but not him. He came VERY close to getting action on with Tuka in Gaiden 3 though.
2. No, so far the only female she showed attraction to was Kurokawa. It makes sense as she doesn't want to become like her father.
3. She is straight.
4. Yes. She does become more affectionate later on, and tries to throw herself on him multiple times.
5. Five, and yes.

I haven't read the novels, but if the Gate can be held open by something the Empire built, I imagine they wouldn't need Hardy's involvement to tear it down. Some well-placed C4 should do it.

They don't know how to open it, but propping it open is possible, yes.
I imagine it's a lot more primitive to craft magical door stopper than it is to make the magical door itself.

Not sure, we have no earthly idea on how magic works or what can affect a rip in dimension.

Later on around book 4, you will see Earth scientists enter the Special District and make many observations about the universe though.

And... your question actually becomes a central plot towards the end of the series, in book 4 and 5.
And groundwork for that plot gets laid out in book 3, which the anime will cover later this season.

If other Terran powers show up that mean they can move troops and equipments through the Gate. At Ginza. Center of Tokyo. Capital of Japan.

Ridiculous!

Sure, there's some precedent in Germany, but that is because she was a defeated nation after WW2, so had to take what she had to take. Japan was intact, powerful. Why would she share passage through her capital? At best, some limited number of US troops and staffs may get through, based on some interpretation of existing treaties and closed door negotiation. Doubt another country get that.
(Media people doesnt count. I am talking about troopers, officials, and trucks full of stuffs. They are what make them "power".)
It's what I think, and from what's been written in translated novels as well as manga I dont think that direction will change.
