I think the whole scene was more something she might long for in the back of her mind - to get married or to have someone to love. Especially since for the 2nd time she just lost someone important to her. I guess you could say Kittan was the most recent reminder of that. But in the end, it's not truly what she wants. Since, she wants to go back and protect the world for her kids. So I don't take it as meaning she loved Kittan "more" then Kamina at all. She probably had the start of some feelings for him, but since he died (like Kamina) it's not something that is ever going to amount to anything. Loving Kittan or having feelings for him doesn't mean she didn't love Kamina either, but Kamina has also been dead a long time.

It's more about the uncertain feelings of the past compared to the certain feelings of the present.

Kamina represents a lot of baggage for yoko. was it really love, or was it just a crush? I mean the second she actually begins a relationship with Kamina, it's immediately followed by unhappy emotions of loss. and then there's also dealing with the fact she did 'get over him' following his death...so forth and so on. it was a love of youth.

her feelings for Kittan is much clearer. while Kamina might be the person she truly loves (something she's uncertain about), Kittan did prove himself to be someone who was wholly devoted to her (he died for her), and was certainly someone she'd be willing to spend her life with.

so Kittan get's priority, especially when it comes to the idea of marrying someone, since there's a certainty there that Kamina (even if the feelings are stronger) doesn't have, making Kittan a more suitable candidate for that unfullfilled desire.

Simon isn't even in her dream sequence and vice versa. Although Simon's sequence has Nia's chest representing the desire to free her.

Personally I think Kittan is the person who Yoko feels can give her security that Kamina cannot give her.

Of course Kittan is not as good looking as Kamina and not as cool as Kamina and part of her heart is always with Kamina, but Yoko knows Kittan is a good man and that he would have been someone who could have given her long lasting happiness if he had survived.

btw, I am not surprised by Boota at all. Look at that three whiskers on the guy on ep 1's face. It's a clear prove that he is not all human.

So Buta is finally in the form from episode one. If the scene does happen though does that mean a time skip? The Buta in this episode seemed way younger. It shouldnt be a big one because remember beast men dont live as long. They probably age faster because of this and thats why the Simon from epsidode one does'nt look much older. He was awesome btw.

That anti spiral guy quikly grew on me. His design is so wierd yet kik ass. Im interested to see how he will fight in the next episode. It seems he might be piloting some kind of mech by looking at the previews. Speaking of the previews, the last form of gurren lagann being able to use the other charcaters abilities will be interesting (example yoko's rifle).

On the subject of yoko's dream i don't know what to think. You all make a good point as to why she would like to marry Kittan but she seemed rather shocked and unhappy when she saw that. This could mean she prefered Kamina or what i think is that it is simply her moving on. She had the chance to talk to Kamina but understood that he was dead and decided to do what was more important by helping Simon.

So yeah this episode was really great, probably one of the best (though every episode is one of the best on this show >.>). Time to wait another week for the last episode. I wonder if they'll show more of what Rossiu's been up to.

Harlock is in his thirties (I believe), I wouldn't be surprised if Garlock was around twenty eight during the prologue. Oldest Gainax male protagonist who started as a young boy was thirty four, tie with Suguru and Jean right? Bah, can't remember.

Current Boota is only seven or eight years old.

Also, to people who might know. Is there a special speech style for Kamina? Sometimes he ends his sentences in a rhyme - this happened a lot during this episode and has occured many times with him in the past, notably the start of his and Simon's fusion in eight. I'm wondering if it's just a quirk of what he says or if there's some kind of method to it.

I voted 9 ^^; I may explain the reasons later after the seires is finished. Let's just say that I am not as satisfied with Gurren lagann now compared to the first and second arc. Excellent episode, the best so far post 15, but I don't think it deserves my 10.

whaaa i cant believe that its ending so fast! It seems like only yesterday simon found lagann now look at him! totally awesome!

The dream sequence as simon fights between fantasy and reality was so dam touching...yes kamina!! yes all of thier deceased friends - everyone is cheering simon on. This moving uplifting spirit is just insane. And looking at virals fantasy shows a more hidden side of his usual crazy personality...oh my god i just hope he gets his happy end ;___;

as for boota's transformation, that completely threw me off XD we know that the guy in ep 1 wasnt human but no way did i guess that it was boota!
