My thighs hurt like hell for sitting in that position for such a long time, I've never been able to figure out why I have to turn the tea bowl, and why I wasn't supposed to eat the wagashi when given to me. |

Dorfl, it might also be the water or the pot that you used to boil the water that is adding the bad flavours to the jasmine tea. Since tea, unless you add stuff like sugar or honey to it, is just tea leaves steeped in hot water, the quality of the water and how much mineral is in it do affect its taste. It's a lot like *cough* coffee and its needs.

But anyway, I really don't like tea or coffee. Tea is simply too bitter for me. Coffee is simply too strong for me. It doesn't matter how much sugar or cream i put in them, I can still taste that awful taste like a bad memory. Yuck. But i guess if i had to choose between Coffee, Tea, and getting beat with a sack of door nobs, i'd probably pick coffee. I am an American, and that means that I was put on this earth to spite the British. Hell, do you think we Americans like calling football "soccer", changing the rules of rugby, and calling it "football"? And i'm fucking clueless why we aren't using the metric system if not out of contempt. |

I've heard that this is in order to make it difficult to import foreign products (produced for other countries) into the United States. Of course, there are no websites that document why there hasn't been a switch, only metric advocacy sites and xenophobic sites. |

tea is way better than coffee. it's the perfect beverage, hot warm or cold. try jasmine tea with ice ~ it's more refreshing than gatorade. make sure the jasmine tea is really hot so it melts enough water to dilute the bitterness that comes with jasmine tea.

I like tea, especially since I love caffeine but coffee makes me sick.
I live in southern California, though, so a hot drink isn't too welcome for most of the year. When I do drink it, I don't like black tea (if I can help it), and I don't take sugar nor milk. However, I just got an Hisbiscus tea from a buddy who went to Hawaii. Really good. Also, Trader Joe's (a super-cool grocery store) has white tea which is drinkable by a guy like me who doesn't like black tea. One tea I can't stand is Genmai-cha, which is apparently a Brown Rice tea. Tastes like asparagus. :P -k curious |

And few people mention white tea and how great it is when prepared properly.
The response I get over 90% of the time is ... "White tea? Is that tea with too much milk or something? That's gross." |
