It's not really all that Gundam like (or terribly good if you ask me) but Godannar is a new mecha show being subbed. It's actually got decent mech designs, and the action is breakneck paced. Check it out and form your own opinion.

Your post made me ponder how few mecha shows we have been seeing these days. Anime series this season are almost all action, romantic comedy, horror and science fiction. What happened with the medium's most emblematic genre?
The first season of Gundam SEED ended a while ago, and the only current show would be Godannar, fansubbed by AnimeOne&Infusion, but it is waaaay too cheesy for my tastes, more G Gundam with fanservice than original MS Gundam. If you like old school, Metal Armor Dragonar, a classic 80s series, is being slowly, oh-so-painfully-slowly being fansubbed by LightShock Anime (we're up to ep. 2) Unless you have a broader definition of "mecha" (that is, not only giant robots). Then maybe Avenger, or even Full Metal Alchemist, might qualify |

this should of been in the general anime or Suggestion forums. I only recommend two Mecha type animes and that is Macross (specifically Super Dimensional Fortress Macross 1982 series) and Robotech.
For Gundam like I recommend Shinkon Gattai Godannar

It's not that difficult, at least put some effort into deciding which forum to post. P.S. and welcome to the forums |
