I think the harder the bosses are the more fun it is, as well as being a more pain in the ass, to play the game. The bosses make or break the games often.

I'll be glad if the difficulty is like Alpha Gaiden. I thought that it had the best balance as far as difficulty went (not too hard or too easy). I'm kinda of tired of PS2 srw's being so easy, anyway.

OG Gaiden... I hope it comes to US, since it's a OG they shouldn't have problems with licenses. Well, first we have to see if OG(PS2) is going to receive a US version.

Was the OG series on GBA well-received, in terms of sales, when it first came out in the US? That could be telling in whether or not the PS2 version will ever see light of day here.

I don't know but I suppose that at least OG1 was good in sales, otherwise they wouldn't have released OG2.

I think Atlus announced their bringing over OG1 and OG2 the same time. I'm not too sure, though. It was quite a while back.

The mech name is actually "Sandaageeto", which is "Thundergate" or something along that line, not "Thundercat". Either way, neither "getto" nor "geeto" is "cat", it would be "kyatto".

So, at Atlus' official forum there is a Thread where people are asking for a US release of OG(PS2). I already left a message there, If you want the game go leave a message too. =)

Recently got OG2.5 through OGs, and while it was fun to play through, part of me really wonders if the final stage really is the same as the OVA. Unless this was planned from the beginning to carry over to OG Gaiden, since I still have a lot of questions left over (Like why does Shouko have voice clips in the character section when she doesn't seem to be a pilot at all.)
Still, it seems that some of the leftovers of OGs/2.5 is heading over to OG Gaiden, such as Asterlion AX and the (hidden) original weapons of the DyGenGuar. Part of me is still hoping that Banpresto will go back and dig up their originals from Super Tokusatsu Taisen and remake them as pilots and mecha like they did to Roa, but it doesn't seem likely.

Finished OG's not long ago, must say it's an awesome game. Personally, OG2.5 was pretty difficult for me (Kyle and his WTF Mironga -_- or the final stage with the Valsion Custom) but aside from that, most of the game was very easy, even more given the oh so abusable Twin Battle System.
I Wonder if OG Gaiden will be like at least like @Gaiden: VERY challenging.

I have started playing OG2 since I got my hand on it, and since this is my first experience with SRW I was a bit frustrated by its strange gameplay. Any advice for this newcomer?

USB, my advice to you is to play OG1 first. OG2 is too much for a beginner. >>;

I second that. If you don't tackle the first game, you'll be too overwhelmed with all the plot twists and enemies in OG2. Not to mention that you'll miss lots of good stuff, and the basic playing style. It's better to start stories in the beginning, right?

Tips? Lemme see...

But the problem is I already started OG2. Maybe I should go and play OG1 first
