Just started reading this one and it looks very interesting.
Is the reason behind Kiri's power still a mystery on the latest chapter?

hmmm i kinda get what the multiple of flare is soo hmm by mean making ten people hold togeter the onset on that it mutiplied into 100 hmm the quetion is is there any side effect???

Nice save!Had really given up hope that they would even find out that she was at her limit before it was over. Agree that thinking about it would take up valuable time and they can just figure out a solution later. Just barely made it in time to save Heine and I'm glad they did.

Of course the point is valid that he can't pick up every person along the way. If they need to be in contact with him even Heine is pushing it. Think they will try to find some kind of solution since I'm not sure that a trio is going to be constant.

No doubt has to be hard for Kiri to understand the sisters mindset. Pushing yourself to death in order to give people some extra time. Even going right to the end you stay on that path. But an interesting thing was seeing how some sisters 'retired'. They didn't leave the group entirely, but moved to a support role. At that point wonder how their lifespans are. Its not a bad thing to fall back and leave it to those who still haven't reached their limit.

An interesting friendship with Chris and Heine. The sister that didn't make it in time, but they've stayed in contact.

Did you see how Kiri blew off Fallan's attempt at being a realist? That was totally awesome , easily is what makes him an excellent character. On another note, 2 more weeks until the Falzen arrive. If every chapter can constitute a week til they arrive, we'll be seeing the mighty Falzen by the end of the month. Hopefully the captain is nearly on par with Fallan, else they'll be useless.

Interesting theory. That could very well be an applicable solution for Heine, as well as other sisters. It only makes sense, since El's gonna die anyways, if she lets go of Kiri's hand. I just hope that they don't make her some kind of martyr in the end, but far too early to worry about that.

Good call on that theory Gup. Kinda wonder how far can she continue to absorb Troi over her limit. It's not like she's gonna do it with every sister she sees, but I'm curious if this will speed up the seizures from Troi if she lets go of his hand. Well, I'm glad Heine got to survive, I thought she was pretty cute . Well, now that that's cleared up, I hope the next chapter has more action.

BTW, where the heck is Sui??? You can't make a love triangle if she's gone half the time :\

Was a good theory and worked out quite well in action. Since El is already over her limit absorbing more Troi really shouldn't be a problem. Though I wonder about any problems that could arise when they come up with a cure and try to treat her. Though could be stuck with Kiri for life . Gave the guy a heart attack though. But true that if she had said the plan there is no way he would have gone along with it. Plus be tough if they keep having people holding onto him the entire way there.

Like the solution since Heine is a character you really want to keep on living. She's got some time now and years should be enough for them to find some sort of solution. There's still hope now though can't forget the sisters that won't be saved along the way.

*ahem* A new arc is starting, and things promise to be as good as ever, and quite tense, too:

Big news: Falzen is down. The entire elite brigade on the way to support our plucky heroes got itself wiped out by a certain familiar monstrous opponent, except for one character, a childhood friend of Elle's and, more importantly, a very pretty character reminiscent of one Flora from Claymore (though without the "Claymore" attitudes and stuff). Looks like the party of four will soon grow by one if and when the survivor makes her way to Kiri & co.

In other news, Kiri finally asks X-man to teach him and Elle a fighting style they can use together with Flare. Hmm...a power-up at last? They wouldn't last long against that monster otherwise.

I'm a little disappointed by how the most skilled of the sisters got wiped out so easily, but oh well.

One question though: are the sisters in the military arm also carry the disease as with the normal sisters and all?

Damn I just never expected the Falzen to get wiped out like that. Guess when you pronounce elite forces you just have high expectations. After all if the best that they have isn't good enough when attacked by that kind of opponent how are they still in existence period? Couldn't he just lead the Gazelle in one massive attack and finish the sisters off for good?

Yeah I'm sure they will run into Elle's friend at some point. Though how they meet up and her state at that time will be in the air. Really sad that they got taken out like that. Since they seemed like a pretty likable bunch from the few pages we got of them. Can only hope that a few managed to survive the assault though that isn't extremely likely.

Is a good idea to get some martial arts teaching so they can be stronger. At this point they won't survive long unless Farran is the target of attacks. Though I still think having him around even if he won't fight to protect others is still useful. He may deny it will keep you safe as a side effect, but can't hurt. Anyways now the situation has been severely changed. They have to make a break for the headquarters under their own strength.

Pffft, yeah the Falzen were weak as hell, so I was disappointed too. Well, they WERE going up against Zezu, but I didn't think they'd be wiped out so easily as well, since I guessed that[at least] the Falzen captain would be closer to Fallan's and Zezu's strength than Sui's and Kiriel's.

I always lol at Sui's antics . Wonder how long she's gonna hold that grudge? Anyways, I'm not surprised that Kiri asked to be teached by Fallan, since the story IS called Double Arts. Still, it's good to know that they'll finally start getting stronger. Flare is just too good a skill to be used for battle. I can't wait to see how creative their fighting style can get. I'm guessing i'd be something like that Eva episode where they try to learn a dance routine which will be incorporated into the movements they will use in their Evangelions to attack the Angel, but with holding hands. That synchronization would be great to see.

I'm curious about that question myself(about the sisters in the military). Maybe the next chapter will answer that for us when Andie meets with the gang.

That'd be too easy . My guess is there's probably some reason that they are leaving them alive, or perhaps are attending to something more in-line with their goals. Looks like this mystery person and Zezu have some kind of meeting, hopefully we can get some insight as to what their goals are. The mystery person wearing the hood gives Kingdom Hearts 2 vibes all over(Organization XIII) .

Aug 18 is a ways away, but I wonder what could be Sui's secret? This supposed to be some kind of side story?

Did you guys notice the map that was shown? First off headquarters is very far away, I mean, they will have to travel across most of the continent and from one country to another to get there. Anyone think that a war might break out if they continue to travel that way overland?

Another issue I have is with the number of countries present on this continent (which reminds me of Australia) is the scarcity of nation-states, there is only 6 of them. Still I guess that is enough to form the basis for various lands and cultures/races and factions. Any other thoughts?

I think the manga will further reveal the political situation over time; but yes, the map is a start.

Right now in terms of world-building there's only Sisters and Gazelle that are clearly factions, and the main issue of this world seems to be the incurable Troi. And name-dropping on some racial distinctions, but those aren't detailed yet.

An inconvenient war seems like a good plot twist though.

However, I personally don't think the "scarcity of nation-states" is something that will become an issue. Those states are likely to correlate with any major racial distinctions that the author will make, if he or she will focus on it at all (manga are not known for intricate world-building). Not many fiction authors have the guts and insanity to imitate Austria-Hungary anyway; I mean, The Kingdoms and Lands Represented in the Imperial Council and the Lands of the Crown of St. Stephen.

I don't think she looks that much like Flora, even so, hopefully she won't share the same fate as her look alike.
