They take out Yamaji conveniently by sealing away his powers.

And the captains that came down to fight are really useless. After so long, WW is still alive. Loop holes. Aizen freaking prepared something to gag Yamaji but the whole of SS couldn't think of some way to counter illusions and Ichigo actually let Hitsu stab Hinamori and WW stop Yamaji. Nobody bothered to shout out to Yamaji that WW was coming.

It is actually safe to say Kensei had to lose to WW and that nobody knew he lost until now. And it is most likely a 1-hit, no sound defeat. WW could actually wipe out the captains with this.

He does have to be hella strong to stop Yamaji's sword with his hand.
But to bring an old theory of mine back up again, I think this could be a good time for the Espada (assuming they're alive) to come back and get Aizen. So far I suspect Haibel and her Fraccion, and Stark as possibilities. Meanwhile Ichigo, Unohana, and Gin will share some popcorn.

Although I find that statement hard to believe, somehow.

Gin was talking about power compared to the other good buys. The old man is in his own league, but apparently when he fights there is tremendous collateral damage. The other guys underestimated Aizen's power and the old man underestimated his intellect. Strong and smart bad guys are the worst (and best).

If there are Espadas to fight Aizen, that would be Grimmijow or Nel
