If there is going to be a Yammy-fighting arc, it will probably be 10 or so chapters (with some character development for Yammy, a potential zanpakutou conversation moment for Zaraki to give him the strength to win, etc.) - which will last a while

With Aizen's latest comments, and his actions triggering those comments, it creates a disturbing thought of Isshin sharing Aizen's goals. I hope that won't happen.

And the mysterious black foot, I hope he/she will be a new character, at least in terms of the abilities revealed.

While it's debatable whether he wants Ichigo to surpass him, I can think of a few reasons why he'd want Ichigo to at least catch up to him. Maybe he wants a worthy rival to test his strength against? Maybe he wants to recruit him? Maybe he wants him to become as powerful as possible before he "devours" him. Or maybe he just wants to witness the full potential of his most successful test subject (for the lulz)?

Whatever the case may be, antagonists in shonen series such as this are famous for intentionally doing whatever's necessary to help the protagonists along. Even if it tends to end up not working so well for them in the end.

it mostly has to do that he wanted to end it after freeza, but it was such a cash cow they wouldnt let it go. so BS was made up after freeza.
