K-On!! (Second Season) - Favourite Character(s) Poll

People have different tastes after all...

A character could be liked because of many things. Many are enough with the moe elements, while some crave for personality and character development, and so on. We might think Chara A is our favorite, but not chara B, even if chara B has more quality compared chara A. Taste is subjective.

As for Azusa, She's not my favorite, but I find it refreshing to see her point view Although yeah, her episodes' feel kind of "lonely" compared to her seniors ^^;

The reason why I prefer Azusa over Mio is because shehas personality while Mio is basicly one of the following things all the time:
1. Scared of everything and shy (scared of everything started to get over used)
2. Too strict and proper
3. Ritsu puncher

That's basicly her whole character and usually only one of those qualities was used at the time while Azusa was able to use several at once.

Are you sure you ain't referring to Azusa? Mio's strict enough to keep the group in proper standards (even in S2, now I see, thanks to Ryonea), but she still opened up after Episode 4, way earlier than Azusa ever did). Hell, she had always wanted to be playful, even, but she knew that if she had reduced to Ritsu/Yui's standards in S1... Well, let's just say we won't even see K-On in S2 at all. haha

No, I do agree with you. Her character is pretty standardized. But, I'd still say, as with all the other five girls, that's just the brim of the surface. 'Coz Ritsu could had been a Gogglehead and Yui an airhead - but they weren't just those, were they? That's why I'm hoping for K-On to put the uniqueness in Mio in a Season Three the same way they put it in Ritsu/Yui (even though Yui's appeal is more towards growing up than being unique).

Tsumugi has no problems being unique, of course, even in S1. xD

1. yes Mio is shy but she always overcome her shyness like when performing at school festivals and the play. just love the chemistry between Mio and Ritsu in the school play episodes.
2. i think she looks kinda cute when she acted strict...
3. I guess its unfair that ritsu's the only one getting hit by Mio all the time.... but sometimes ritsu deserve a slap.

Ritsu and Azusa are probably my favourites in S2.

Ritsu's the only one Mio feels comfortable knocking around. That's just the kind of relationship they have, and it's developed that way over the course of a decade or so. Mio doesn't have that with the rest of the group.

^true, you don't actually slap anyone randomly unless that person knows u so well that it's ok getting hit and everything.

and not to mention Ritsu's the only girl Mio's comfortable to snuggle and vice versa.

yea, we saw how close they were when ritsu got sick in episode 11. ritsu got jealous when mio was spending time with nodaka. that was a good episode!

I think Mugi-centric jokes are the best jokes in K-on, like the one she goes on a date with Ritsu (that is my favorite moment in K-on) or how she checked the pillow to make sure she can have a pillow fight.

Not globally, especially in Japan
Mio's vote is getting higher and the gap is reduced too over here.

Well, regarding favourite characters....

Mio is favoured by Kakifly sensei
Yui is favoured by Naoko Yamada
Ritsu is inseparable from Mio
Azusa is just popular despite a newcomer.
Mugi is quite popular too although not as much as the others.

Despite some creator's preference, I think they'll balance them out. Ui & Jun might be "bumped up" too

i think so,too. but i still like mio. she's pro'ly my third or second fav. character XD bumping her up? i hope so since from i've seen, she's losing out to azusa and yui in terms of popularity. i need to see more development form her. ui and jun might get that too.
