Level E continues to have its share of surprises.
Spoiler for episode 2:
It definitely has a witty humor with some MIB flair. Definitely sailing high in my list of this season.

Prince is definitely one of the best characters I've seen, ever.
I mean, his trolling is just awesome. He has the same flair that Ayane from furuba did, and that ranks him up way high on my list. This show truly delivers!

What amazes me about this show is that it's so retro in every aspect - visuals, characters, humor, writing style - and yet still feels totally fresh. Thank goodness for adaptations that make so sense whatsoever.

Well sure - I think that's the point. But it goes deeper than that. Some material from the 90's would feel dated if it were adapted now, or adapted badly anyway - it depends on how universal the material is and how good the writing is. It's like two movies released at the same time - some may hold up and still be relevant 20 years later, others might be hopelessly dated.

liking this series so far.
I don't know if its the right word...but using it liberally.. This is probably the best tsukkomi-type humor type show I seen in a while. The alien fractions subplot, I hope it doesn't get too deep into it, and there's more of just the alien x human bromance going on.
