I am just glad that I am not the only one that finds Vivi's character exasperating. After Vivi met the Kaizoku gang, she probably has cried more than all other characters in One Piece put together. She can make any occasion a crying-occasion. And the way she spews out the dialogue in that high pitched voice as she is crying makes her appear similar to those characters one would reserve ones infuriating unsympathy for. Few such examples in the following:

What's even worse than "Vivi-cries" is her own admission of politically incorrect words that she doesn't care if the viewers might find her not very appealing becasue of her relentless crying mode. I have proof:

Her country is in trouble. her father is dying and getting tortured. the bad guy is right in front of her and cant do anything. She knows how bad the situation are yet powerless to do anything. her friends and boyfriend, her people are fighting pointless and dying. theres no time left. and noone listen to her.

Its a miracle she can still stay sane after all of that.
Nami went nuts on her situation.

I just changed my avatar but yes it was a gif of zoro fighting Mr. 1. You should really check out the anime. (Not on foxbox though

Last time I heard that One Piece ends somewhere in the 250s column. Or, so that's what read by some of the posters of some board.

I'm afraid, and quite glad, that those posters of some board are dead wrong and really to think before they post anything. There are at least 215 eps of One Piece out in japan with the manga being that of 350 chapters and still no end in site for the manga meaning that anime will probably be above that of the 300s, as in db+dbz+gt long without the One Piece being that of more than one single anime series.

Yes. Don't skip. It's a bad idea. You probably could skip the Davy Back Fight, there isn't anything really important that happens there. Or you can start reading the manga from the point 168 leaves off until you catch up to Water 7.
Actually, episode 219 is the last episode of the Davy Back fight. Then 220-226 are fillers.

You'll miss like one important thing After the jump, it's like a whole different story on its own. Also, Skypeia is more of an awesome adventure without affecting too many outcomes in the later episodes. It depends on how patient you are. Will you go ahead with it, still enjoy it without being spoiled much at all besides the obvious, and then put the pieces together gradually while more subs are produced? Or, will you wait it off and have way more episodes to munch on at once afterwards?

Chapter 397 is a about Robin's past - a flashback. So there's nobody in the crew in it, obviously. Why are you reading a thread about a future chapter?
