like for example, to reach steampunk era, one needs to pass the industrial revolution

but if magic were to be discovered in medieval then industry won't be as developed, because magic will compensate for whatever technological deficiencies in that era, furthermore magicians would immediately rule over the world and technological innovations would be repressed since it's a threat for them, consequently technological level remained low.

the only reason magic exists in modern world like in Mahouka was because magic remained secret for a long time and only fully discovered, publicized, and systemized after the world entered information age.

You absolutely do not like to give up science to get magic.

To give up science is like saying 2 + 2 does not equal 4 but 3..
Or that the Sun is not a giant ball of gas.
Or that DNA doesn't exist.
Or that the earth isn't actually round but flat and on the back of a floating turtle in space

The reason science and magic are often not both used in series is because magic provides an easy answer for a lot of questions that would have spurred science development. People don't really have to stop and wonder about things when magic is an easy answer for their questions. It depends a lot on the series though, in series where magic is relatively common place it makes a lot more sense, in series where magic is amazingly damn rare, it makes less sense.

The majority of the golems are just labour workers. Male type golems are used for mining and other power jobs. Female type for farming, recon/world map making, maintenance of the island, fishing, etc. I find it rather funny that the cover only shows one maid golem because when he first showcased the island to his friends, they only saw an army of maid golems at first and wondered if Jin was maybe into that kind of thing (especially since he's always so close to Reiko) and were all relieved when they saw the male type golems when visiting the mines.

Though of course, he does still have an army of golem for combat purposes (divided into army, navy, and air force), but they're solely for defense purposes or cleaning up messes in the world that only he can take care of such as an international terrorist organization or a mastermind that was plotting genocide of all humankind.

Too late. He made plasma swords, railguns (that are strong enough to possibly send bullets into orbit), heat radiators that can melt all metal within a certain area, magic-sealing devices, and more. Oh, and let's not forget about the super computer equipped with advanced AI as well as automated factory he has to mass produce EVERYTHING.
