Imo, SKT simply failed to adapt to the MF pick. Instead of persisting with the Zyra support, Janna might have done a better job.

Game 4:

Bengi was very stable this game and allowed SKT to weather the storm that was Peanut's high-risk-high-reward gameplay, which Blank's aggression was ineffective against.

Pray's Ashe arrows weren't as impactful this time as well.

Game 5:
ROX has a stronger lineup, imo.

The Karma was very important.

Jumping in 1v5 into Baron pit with no smite, killing Peanut, and setting up SKT 4-0 teamfight - Bengi is AN HERO!!!

40 minutes in, SKT up 12k gold, with baron, 4 dragon buffs, and elder dragon.

SKT finished it. What a series.

Lesson for ROX is that you need to have multiple pocket strategies that are resistant to single bans.

A series for the ages. Very harsh stuff for ROX - if any year was going to be their year, it felt like this was this had to be it. But Bengi swung things back to SKT along with denying the MF cheese. Bang came up big in Game 4. Game 5, Bengi instigated one heck of a counterplay at Baron. And to think...would that play have been possible if SKT had any other drake than the Cloud Drakes they got minutes earlier?

Well Samung wiped the floor with H2K in that series and even used the MF support counter to Zyra in one of the games . Hopefully the finals will be more interesting than Samung vs H2K was.

Ryu shit the bed. Jankos tried so hard. It was sad to see such a quick and rather predictable series after the fantastic series the day before.

SKT vs ROX is a series to remember for all time. Enough said.

Anyone else play vs the new Doom bots yet? It's pretty fun and insane, I managed to beat the teemo'ing version with hooves, but holy cow the gaunlet mode scales the difficult rating off the charts even 25 was really difficult (we barely lost vs it), and tried 100 we lost even before Teemo spawned

I played the gauntlet. Almost beat lvl 50 and I at least got to the teemo spawn in lvl 100. Key is just having a lot of wave clear and %health dmg

I played a few doom games. As a core co-op player, here are my impressions of it (I'd missed it last year):

- Open character select gives you an edge over your enemies, this should be easy...ima jungle.
- Jungle exp is higher? Awesome, time for some early ganks!
- DAFUQ IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE'S SKILLS!? WHY ARE MY TURRETS ZAPPING ME, OMG!!!
- Okay, apparently this is a ridiculous troll mode. Still, jungle Vi gets the kills going, even when faced against champions on steroids.

We lost the first game at the 20 seconds counter, difficulty of 14. Very close, I figured I'd pick a ranged caster next time in order to seize an advantage over the trigger-happy doombots.

Next game, we decided to see, just how hard it can get, so we cranked up the difficulty all the way to 100. Someone said it doesn't make much of a difference. Well, either I forgot all about playing Lux, or it sure as hell makes a difference!! We lost before the 10' mark...utter defeat. I think 10 will be a good difficulty to beat...

Gonna try gauntlet today.

My experience is just play Ziggs, build a tear so you have unlimited mana and just spam your abilities. They don't dodge so you can poke down kills with patience and you have enough waveclear to hold your first tower for at least 10 mins. He's so OP in this mode it's ridiculous.

Good game. Imo, Kkoma made a mistake to replace Bengi with Blank. SKT's players are not particularly suited for risk-taking, and their primary playstyle is to slowly choke their opponents with consistent incremental advantages. Blank ended up getting wiped by Ambition in the jungle matchup.

I utterly disagree on game 1, SKT nearly threw that game multiple times, they should have been able to close much faster if it was a "stomp", while SKT in game was close early then stomped.

Jesus what a match, samung made a huge stall off one good fight at a baron off a deficient into a massive baron power play and the game stalled out for awhile before it swung for samung when they stole elder dragon let them into a win.

Samung had a strong early lead for the first time this series and had some great plays leading to early baron and getting two inhibitors off of it and used that pressure to take control of the game, game 5 hype!

Still can't believe this game actually happened, but SSG really pulled/stalled through in the end.

SSG executed well, but Blank had absolutely no synergy with the rest of the team.

I watched the last game again. The crucial moment was:

Around 36:10, when Ruler stepped too far forward, forcing CoreJJ's sacrifice to save him. This gave SKT the baron, after which Crown compounded the error by flashing in a parallel direction to the Ashe arrow, giving a second kill to SKT plus the elder dragon.

By the time baron buff expired, SKT had accumulated a 7k gold swing and never relinquished their lead.
