Currently watching this in the English dub, and the references to different are cool. I think how the English voice actors pronounce certain titles adds to the humor. Not in a negative way, though. It's like how a lot of english-speaking people pronounce different titles.

Watched the Comiket episode. Got recharged by this episode and Beibei is cute!
Plenty of Konosuba and RE:Zero references too.

Kai made me laugh twice, first is when he got trapped in the heat of the sun, and the second time is his wallet.

Looking forward to next week.

This is a warning Animegataris, is the only time that I forgive an episode about misunderstandings.

When they talk about staff running away mid-anime-production and the first thing i think of is Kissdum.
Man, that was a good anime though...

Oh, and Megumin and Chitose's lines were done by their original VA too.

I really want to see what has the SCP so incredibly obsessed with crushing the club. There's a fair suggestion that she's trying to "help" the club prez, but she's reaching such a level of fanaticism about it that even her assistants are starting to balk. The same girl who until now would repeatedly throw the door open and declare that the club was going to be disbanded for their misdeeds is now looking at them apologetically.

IF you are wondering about what Erika said about Maya (Minoa's sister).

It is the reference to the short version of Animegatari back in 2015 where Erika and Maya were MC.

Watched episode 8:

Really like this performance at school episode, even Minoa's otaku dad joined in to help.

Minoa punched neko sempai. >___<

The dance and precure reference at the end is good. ^^

Ep.9

Minoa for entire episode is like "It's good that people like anime but mixing it with real life like this is so wrong" I think I now understand 'the end of the world' in anime Synopsis and why many people want to shut down the club.

Maybe Nakano-senpai get hit by the same thing/power as Tsubaki was in previous ep.

Well, this gave a pretty good example of why one needs to be careful just what you actually use when you try to incorporate fiction, especially anime, into your training regimen. Seriously, they'd have been shut down long before that interview just from people dying or crippling themselves trying to pull off anime moves, except that this manages to ultimately come across more as people realizing that they themselves are anime.

But wow, what the heck happened with Nakano? He just suddenly pulls a face-heel out of nowhere. I'm sure it's partly meant as a nod to anime clichés, but even among clichés it's kind of sudden and lacking in cause. It's almost like Hans from Frozen. Almost.

Well, like with the SCP, here's hoping that we'll eventually be given an actual reason for the villains being so villainous.

On a different note, I seriously wish I could find a place to actually see the original Anime Gatari shorts.

Ep.10

OK, this ep. is really funny and unique.

- First off......That opening. They really know that fans want hahaha.

- Principal turns out to be anime fan and ex-anime director of anime that Minoa saw in the past. I certainly didn't expect this kind of twist. His interaction with Minoa is great. I like how Arisu live steam made online community helped them find the name of that anime.

- This ep. is full of supernatural element. Minoa can see Principal's dark aura and the rain fall in that office. Everyone seems to understand what the cat says now.

- Aurora is still a mysterious. What is his end game? and that photo......is he time traveler?

Ep.11

- We go full Meta now. The story in this ep. is certainly a very creative one in term of idea.

- Poor Minoa, she found herself living in anime world. I like how she can touch special effect, fall off the edge of scene, crash with floating word, and feel the quick screens changed.

- Aurora is working for the anime director (FYI, his character design is based on the REAL director of this anime) hahaha.

I just love the way this show has transcended its 'high school club show' underpinnings and gone full meta. Particularly liked the different styles (seriously a Mahotsukai Sally reference?!) they used as part of that, and the way they pointed up some cliches ("What, it's sunset now?")

This episode brought me to tears, repeatedly. So extremely meta with so little warning. Absolute gold. It actually took me a moment to realize that Minoa had freaked out because she walked out of the camera into the black void beyond.
