I hated the introduction of the talking sword I was relieved to find the talking sword said little this Ep.

We need to bring a Margery Doe into the world of Zero no Tsukaima to shut it up.

As I mentioned in this post; there's a manga thats based on the seinen light novel Zero no Tsukaima, and Zero no Tsukaima manga started serialization in a new male oriented magazine thats called Comic Alive (a magazine thats published by Media Factory that also publish Zero no Tsukaima light novels under their seinen light novel label MF Bunko J)

The first chapter of the shounen/seinen manga Zero no Tsukaima got scanlated and the torrent can be found here: Manganews.

regarding the manga, I'm not sure if we could talk about it here...

but, there are few differences in it. I, for one, like the drawing of Louise better in the manga than the anime. but, that's just me. plus the fact in the manga, they could easily understand each other w/o language barrier.

Saito's powers seem to be heavily modified from the novel versions.

any yuri moments for Louise in them? Cause in ep5 Henrietta looks like a very very close friend to Louise so i just wonder how progresses in the novels with her (if she's not just anime original char )

No, episode 5 almost made Louise and Henrietta look like a couple of yuri candidates, but I assure you, there's nothing between them except close, trusting friendship.

Too bad they took out the kiss between Saito and Henrietta, it would've been more amusing if they could leave in all the novel elements, including those more "suggestive" ones.

At this rate, Saito's bath scene in vol.3 is in danger...

Henrietta is one of my favorite characters from the novel, by vol.8, she has already developed into a completely different character from her first appearance in vol.2 (for the anime, it'd be this episode, I guess). Even by the end of vol.3 (presumably the end of the anime), there already has been plenty of changes in her. Even though I can't expect to see vol.7~8's Henrietta here, I still hope the anime can properly portray her developments in these early volumes.

Henrietta looked a little young in the anime though. Louise is a loli so it's understandable for her to look young, but Henrietta is really more of a young woman than a girl...

Oh, and the "Staff of Destruction" was concealed inside a case... I see, so that's how the anime going to hide it's true identity... But it looked a little small. ^^;

I was expecting Anrietta to be an adult, maybe a taller than saito even.

One thing that has me wondering:

How are they going to handle saito's interaction with the "staff of destruction".
The way his gandaruub powers have been modified, I don't see how things are going to work

I see two possibilites:
1) "Feelings": It only works when he's pumping adrenaline. ( But When you are all worked up psychologically, you don't have the state of mind to learn how to operate delicate machinery)

2) "Situation": It only works when he's protecting Ruizu. The problem with this one is it wont explain how he has to interact with the "Ryuu no Hagoromo" that will be in this series later on.

Also, I wonder what happened to his feeling stronger and faster when he uses them,
They seem to have totally left that out.

Do the minor characters (Guiche, Tabitha, Montmorency, Kirche) have a bigger role in volume 3? If they did, there is still hope for them in the anime.

For Ep 5, I think that thief is the secretary. Because you saw her looking at Saito's confrontation with Guiche and she was there in the conversation with the Staff, right? But the only thing that is making me not think it's her is the Familiar. If that Rock Golem was her Familiar, someone probably would of made the connection by now, right?
