I was thinking that maybe Akatsuki isn't the last villain group in the Naruto universe. What do you think?

Zetsu's eyes do seem to have Byakugan-like abilities. He was able to locate and focus on Gai's team when they were far out of range of normal vision. Yeah, I think Neji might be a good match given Zetsu's ability to merge with trees and go underground (à la Oro in the Forest of Death). As for what Akatsuki want with the bijuu, they do not want a bijuu for each member and they don't want to become jinchuuriki themselves. They basically want to use the bijuu to start war. Exactly how they will use and control them for this goal isn't explained. One member dies, the plan continues as normal.


So far, I've liked how Akatsuki has been handled. The characters' designs and their powers are really cool. Itachi, Kisame and Sasori in particular kick ass. The only character I didn't like was Hidan. His power was gimmicky and he really had no fighting style at all. He was also painfully dumb, how many times did he caught by the same jutsu? But all the rest have shown S-class worthy fighting (though Kakuzu was dumbed down for Naruto). There could've been more background or character development for the members that have been defeated, but I imagine that's all the focus is being saved for the AL. I do wonder why they haven't revealed anything about the blue-haired member yet. You can't even speculate. What's so special about him/her?

Oh, and yeah . I do believe there's a good chance that Tobi is Obito. There's just too many coincidences..

To reply on the blue haired character, I have been wondering that myself. I have thought of two possibilities: one it could be Karin, Sasuke's new team mate, since she was given access to a lot of Orochimaru's secrets, I think AL would take interest in that. Or, could be Emi, that girl Itachi kidnapped. Why would he kidnap some average girl unless there was a bounty on her or unless she was wayyy *special.* I think that kidnapping could have been a hoax, and that it was possibly a way to conceal her identity, *if* she was the unknown member.

Didn't have a clue, so i looked it up... seems like Emi was the name of that chick that Itachi used to distract Jiraiya back when he first tried to grab naruto, not sure about the source, but that's what i found... Though Itachi never kidnapped her, only put her under a genjutsu to dstract Jiriaya...

that's cool thanks for the info...I didn't even think they named the person I wonder what happened to that girl?

Looks like things are getting interesting with Sasuke going after Itachi. I don't think though that it will end in a win for Sasuke and team. Maybe we'll finally see some of the other Akatsuki and what they're capable of. I still want to see Zetus, the purple headed person and the AL. I think maybe Itachi will have some problems, but then show that he's still stronger in the end.

Onething I noticed is that Jiraiya tells Naruto that he will be fighting akatsuki members that use Genjutsu. So I'm guessing that Itachi isn't the only Genjutsu specialist on the team...

I used the unofficial Naruto fan book that has info of all of the characters and techniques all the way up to the Sasuke/Naruto showdown. It said under the profile that "Emi" was kidnapped by Itachi, I've also noticed a few other flubs such as they listed the rain ninja from the Forest of death as being from "Otogakure." But i think the unnamed female will most likely either be Rin ot maybe Karin...

I'm getting excited about the Itachi/Kisame confrontation with Sasuke's team and Naruto's team. I think that Sasuke will get defeated and Naruto saves him or something, but I do think that Itachi and Kisame will win this battle. Hopefully we'll get to see more. Maybe Kakashi will tell Sasuke how to get MS. Then again we don't know exactly who will make up Naruto's team...

You know I went back and read about the clones fighting Kakashi and Gai and I just thought that were the clones 30% power or 30% of the person's chakra? I know it seems like a small difference, but I think it would be a huge difference. With 30% chakra the clones could have very well been just as strong, but with lower stamina and so-forth, but if they were only 30% of the power than they of course would be weaker...I was just curious if anyone had any info. on if it's power or just chakra?

30% chakra and tobi is not obito unless proven otherwise.

Nope since they have less chakra. They can't use the most chakra-expensive moves. That's exactly the same thing than Naruto's bunshins.
It's roughly like if the real Kisame and Itachi fought while having 2 Kage Bunshin each playing Super Mario Kart in the Akatsuki hideout.

I'am still thinking that those clones arent as powerful as original ninjas. Naruto just hitted Itachi's kagebunshin too easily with his rasengan.

We have now seen 3 pair's so far. We have Itachi+Kisame, Diedera+Sasori and Hidan and Kakuzu.

I was wondering which pair would be strongest so I'd like to ask you guys and see some opinions?
