I don't think the first riddle is ever going to be solved Mathmatics have never been my advantage But I'm surprised that noone has taken the lead this far and just kept it as a stalemate.. The first riddle may even have discouraged other participaters thinking that the other riddles are just going to be as hard at the first riddle.

Some of the other riddles were harder IMO. NW thinks so too (he told me in a pm when I gave it to him).

@milan kyuubi: I'd say they are good guesses but not correct, sorry.

I don’t know about other riddle crafters feel about their riddles but I, personally, want people to solve it. I would feel a little disappointed if by the end of the contest if nobody solves it. That said I’d pm NW with more hints for you guys but I can’t think of anything that wouldn’t just be rephrasing of existent hints or otherwise just plain spoil it.

I hope the answers to the first riddle isn't given pre-maturely before the contest is up. I havn't had a chance to have a good go at it yet, but i will do in a months or so's time when my uni semester is over! Not sure whether i want to though, given the length of the riddle itself haha

The other three links i posted were a failsafe incase it wasn't right. http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=31028 http://forums.animesuki.com/forumdisplay.php?f=52 http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=31021 ------------------------------- "I have opened Pandora's Box that freed a God, Something to regret for the next six years and eight months." Haruhi is God and was "freed" when the anime began airing in April 2006 ("the opening of Pandora's box, that freed a God"). It's May 2011 now, so not quite six years and eight months after it originally aired, only a little over 5 yet so far."Now I seek the sticking place, where it may not follow," Sticking place implies that the answer thread is stickied."But there are five and twenty paths, and the God can do anything," "Five and Twenty." 5 + 20 = 25, hence page 25 of the thread: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...=31028&page=25."Manipulates and alters everything, what am I to trust?" Another line that alludes to Haruhi's godlike powers."It never seems to retire..." Haruhi forums may go down to the Older Series forum, but never does it actually fall into the retired section."But, what's this... with a second glance, the one path I require! No arguing, no debate, I'll follow the path." The Q and A thread has no "arguements" or "debates" (or is not meant to anyway). Just straight up questions and answers, forging the "one [single factual] path required" if you will in the form of the thread."So, a conundrum of sorts; what solutions will I find, And will they ease my troubled mind?" Questions posted in the thread are "conundrums", while "solutions" are the answers to the posted questions. These questions "trouble your mind" enough that you ask them, yet you have no reassurance whether they will be adequately answered if at all, hence you don't know "what solutions you may find" or whether it will "ease your troubled mind" at all or not.

^Indeed. A bit like Scrabble I suppose? If you look at the letters, and can't come up with anything you'll mix them in new order and then you may be able to come up with something again.
Also boo @ latest riddle. Yet another riddle that no one could solve if they had not seen the particular series. Or is Haruhi and her powers supposed to be some kind of common knowledge?

Given the commonness of "Haruhiism" around here it would be fairly difficult to be unaware of Haruhi being a sorta of god. Compared to the details in the other series based riddles this one is something a lot more people have knowledge of ,

Not sure. I'm a little very disorganised. I've either lost a bunch of them or had more repeat entries (i.e. two or more riddles from one person) than I thought I had, because I think I've the riddles I've got left are all by people who've had riddles posted already... Anyone reading this who hasn't had a riddle posted yet, but knows they submitted one, please PM me. I imagine someone will by the end, but if not I'll just have to set them another challenge. Don't know at this point. It is solvable but short of brute force searching I think it requires a leap of (mathematical) imagination that no one has yet demonstrated. Hopefully |

Riddle 12
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=74614
infinite and finite within might refer to her memory storage and the number of books she has stored. But yeah, I don't know if she actually fits the other parts of the riddle since I never got pass the first series and even that one I don't remember much. |

Maybe it's just the forum itself.
http://forums.animesuki.com/index.php It's finite in the sense that there is a finite number of posts. It's infinite in the sense that there is an infinite amount of posts to be had. A forum has latin roots (ancient rome), though i'm not too sure about arabic. Not sure about it being eccentric or even.

I'm really not sure on this one in the slightest... But here's some random guesses for 12. I would explain but I'm pretty exhausted right now.
