Takeshi Azuma's 14th Denpa Kyōshi - He Is a Ultimate Teacher manga volume confirmed on Friday that a television anime adaptation has been green-lit. Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine will announce the anime's release venue, schedule, cast, and other details in the future.

Premise/Summary:

The story centers around Junichirō, a young man obssesed with manga, anime and games. He was a young genius who published papers in the journals Nature and Science when he was only 17. However, after graduating college, he became a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) absorbed in his anime blog. Unable to watch Kagami throw away his life, his sister Suzune gets him to work at the Ichō Academy she attends. The head of the school's board, Koyomi Hiiragi, assigns Kagami to his new life as a teacher.

I guess this will be at least 2 cour since it's confirmed going to replace Magic Kaito 1412 time slot. From the scan, it seems the animation studio for the TV series is still A-1 Pictures just like the CMs.

This year's 14th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that SKE48 idol group member Rena Matsui has been cast in the role of Suzune Kagami in the television anime of Takeshi Azuma's Denpa Kyōshi - He Is an Ultimate Teacher manga. This is her first voice-acting role.

Matsui commented on the role, "I'm excited to be offered the role. It'll be my debut as a voice actress, but I'll give it my all."

I'm usually tolerable with A-1 Pictures so long as they are able to make decent stuff sometimes, and Denpa Kyoushi kinda felt like a modern crossover between City Hunter and GTO, for starters. Junichi, the main character himself shows a thing that these days, harem protagonists need to be at least be intelligent, have their own quirks, doesn't really shy themselves when they see the half-naked girls with reasonable questions (they could avoid seeing them such way so long as they don't scream too much) and aren't super perfect. This is exactly the kind of guy he fits most of the criteria, even if he can also be the subject of female on male violence at times. I also like how his sister (Suzune) doesn't throw badly-done incestual overtones towards him and they actually act like genuine siblings without forced romance, reminiscient of Sora/Shiro's chemistry from No Game No Life.

Will probably give it more episodes.

Episode 1:

Felt kinda rushed but overall fun. I think I like Kagami already just by what he did in the first episode and punished those trio of girls. And comedy so far is what I had expected although I'm not too impressed by the artwork.

This definitely has my attention so far though.

I started off really at the show, but by the time it ended, I actually thought it wasn't that bad. Guess sometimes it is better to do something tried and done, instead of trying to make a unique story that train wrecks.

But... the sister's voice sucks pretty bad. From AKB0047, I guess she could get better as the episodes progress, but... we'll see

When I briefly looked over the synposis, at first I thought that the other manga about a kid genius coming to teach teenagers with problems because failed in america, not the otaku teacher teaching kids with problems one.

Felt a bit silly, didn't really buy the lesson he was trying to teach, and don't really think it was that effective other than scaring them a bit. And its just so out there. I think GTO is more realistic in his antics in teaching lessons.
