Before I make this next post, I want to make it very clear to everyone here that I am not interested in writing fanfiction. I've given it a try several times before and each time I found I didn't have the dedication required to see things through beyond a chapter or two. As there's nothing I hate more than an abandoned fanfic (darkfics and rapefics aside), I've decided not to make them myself.

That said, however, I quite enjoy the role of the living muse, coming up with ideas for others to use if they wish. From here on out, every idea that I post on this board is free for anyone to use so long as they give me some token credit for the idea.

Now then... my first story idea, a Nanoha fanfic with Nasuverse elements!

It is done.

The Book of Darkness Incident has ended in tragedy. Unable to match the full power of the Book of Darkness even with their powers merged into a single attack, Fate and Nanoha have failed to save Hayate from the Book of Darkness’ viral defense program, forcing Chrono to use Durandal to seal Hayate in eternal stasis mere instants before the Book would have destroyed the universe.

Fate and Nanoha are beyond consolation. Though they only knew Hayate for a short time, they both know that something truly precious has been lost with Hayate’s “death”, and Nanoha sinks into a deep depression that even Fate’s presence cannot shake her out of. The worst part is how Chrono is being hailed as a hero by many within the TSAB, including Gil Graham and the Lieze twins, despite Chrono’s vehement denials that he did anything worthy of praise. These days, Chrono’s mere presence only intensifies Nanoha’s depression. For her part, Fate has severed all ties with the bureau, resigning her position as a contract mage.

Several weeks after the conclusion of the BoD Incident, Nanoha and Fate happen to miss the bus home from school and are forced to walk back to the Takamachi residence, where Fate is staying now that the Asura is ready for field operations again and Lindy’s “forward base” in Uminari City has been decommissioned. As it begins to rain rather heavily, Fate pulls Nanoha into a nondescript shop to dry off, and the two are greeted by the shop’s mysterious owner, a woman who introduces herself as Yuko Ichihara.

Or as the TSAB knows her, the Space-Time Witch, of xxxHolic fame.

Yuko is very friendly towards the two, but a somewhat suspicious Fate asks her why she has such a strong magical presence and why she couldn’t feel that presence until they stepped into her shop. Yuko replies that she is in the business of granting wishes, and that her business often interferes with the TSAB’s regulations for interdimensional travel and contact with underdeveloped worlds, making her a wanted woman in the upper half of the TSAB's wanted list.

Nanoha immediately begins telling Yuko of Hayate’s plight, intending to wish for Hayate’s release from stasis and the destruction of the Book of Darkness. Sadly, Yuko informs her, Nanoha and Fate do not have sufficient payment to compensate her for those two wishes; just freeing Hayate and pulling her back into this universe in one piece would require that Nanoha sacrifice her relationship with Fate.

However, in exchange for a few moments to examine Raising Heart, Yuko offers up this piece of information:

“There exists within you a power I’ve not seen in many, many years, Takamachi Nanoha. Not since my youth have I met one capable of using True Magic.”

When asked what this “True Magic” is, Yuko replies that it is the ability to perform feats beyond what “mundane” sorcery is capable of; it is, in essence, the ability to create miracles, and it is what allows Yuko to grant the wishes of her customers. But Yuko can see with the merest glance that Nanoha’s power is greater than hers by an order of magnitude. “If you should learn to wield this power, freeing and curing your friend would be the very definition of child’s play for you.”

Nanoha immediately begs Yuko to teach her to tap into this power, but Yuko declines, stating that such training is even more expensive than freeing Hayate. Instead, Yuko says, “seek out the man who once taught me if you are willing to defy the TSAB, for he is regarded as even more dangerous than I. His name is Kishua Zelretch Schweinorg.”

And with that, Yuko shoos them from her shop, leaving Fate and Nanoha with only a name to go by.

The odds arrayed against them are massive beyond belief. In the infinite expanse of the multiverse, they must locate a single man who may be able to teach Nanoha how to harness her full power.

Worse, when the TSAB becomes aware that Fate and Nanoha have made contact with Yuko, the two become wanted for questioning, and will be pursued by TSAB forces. Should the bureau discover what it is Nanoha seeks, her name shall spring to the top of the TSAB’s Most Wanted list.

But Yuko has given Fate and Nanoha hope that they have not had since Hayate’s “death”. Come hell or high water, they will find Zelretch, Nanoha will learn the true power of magic, and Hayate will see the light of day again.

And may heaven help all who will dare to stand in their way.

He fell in love with Nanoha, and he offered her his wife to be victim 6, also this is why Edmund Testarrosa suicide himself when Nanoha was hanged
Plus Edmund didn't killed Alondra, he assisted Nanoha who was the one who killed her

Which is why Nanoha tries to backpedal and make it not sound as bad. It's one of those "oh wow that sounded really awful" moments, when you say something and it sounds ten times worse than what you meant it to :3 . Rest assured that there's no homophobia in this story.

While working on a scene in MBLZ I was inspired to write this.

Spoiler for Yuuno meet Vivio:

“Yuuno-kun this is Vivio,” Nanoha urged her daughter out from around her leg.

Vivio looked up at the man who was—to her—a giant. Her expression was a mix of confusion, fear and sleepiness.

Yuuno crouched down to her level, that gentle smile of his on his face. “Hello Vivio, I’m Yuuno Scrya.”

Vivio blinked a few times before reaching out and snatching his glasses. She put them on her face and looked around, obviously having a hard time seeing through the blurry lenses. She looked up at Nanoha or at least Nanoha’s general direction as the glasses made it impossible for her to tell where she was. “Mama who this?”

Nanoha and Fate giggled and Yuuno chuckled.

Nanoha bent down and removed Yuuno’s glasses, “This is one of Mama’s best friends.”

“Mama?” Yuuno took his glasses from Nanoha with a playful smile.

“Vivio has two mamas!” Vivio puffed up her chest proudly. “Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama.”

“Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama…” Yuuno paled and looked away sadly. “I see…”

“Ano Yuuno-kun…” Nanoha scratched the side of her head. “It’s not—”

“Congratulations Fate please be kind to her,” he sighed. “Don’t mind this ferret.”

Vivio patted the depressed librarian’s head, “Don’t be sad.”

“Yuuno you’re mistaken,” Fate tried to make Yuuno see the truth.

Yuuno ignored them lost in his own dark little world.

“Raising Heart Set Up!” If Yuuno wouldn’t listen Nanoha would make him.

[All right.]

“Isn’t that a little extreme?” Fate looked from Nanoha to Yuuno in panic before picking up Vivio and moving her out of the blast range.

“Starlight!”

Yuuno snapped out of his daze. “Nanoha! I’m okay really!”

“Breaker!”
Yuuno’s screams echoed throughout a ten mile radius.

”Caro.” A gentle voice called out the drowzy girl

”Uhm...” The girl muttered and turned her side.

”I'll leave you kids alone.” A male person disappeared behind the door.

”Caro, wake up.” Erio nudged the girl softly.

”Buut~ it's vacation.” Caro mumble and hugged her pillow. ”Erio-kun! What are you doing in my room?!” She rose up and nearly fell from the bed.

”I woke up before you, so I put you there.” Erio explained, trying to wave the misunderstanding away with his hands.

”Ah, we're not in RF6.” Caro checked her surroundings and loosened her grip from the blanket she used to cover her body.

”I insisted on staying outside but Same forced me to stay here.” Erio scratched his cheek and turned away.

”I didn't really mind...” Caro lowered her voice and faced the wall. ”You know, we haven't been alone for some time.” She staggered.

”Well, it has been hectic for quite a while.” Erio folded his arms behind his head.

”Yeah...” Caro nodded. ”I'm free for today,” She lifted her voice. ”so if you don't mind.”

”I don't mind.” Erio stated happily. ”Lets spend this day alone.” He brought his hands to his pockets.

”Lets.” Caro smiled back. ”But are you okay?” She asked worried.

”I'm fine.” Erio answered and hopped up from the chair. ”No problems.”

”Should we visit home first or...?” Caro stood up from the bed.

”I don't really have anything to do there.” Erio scratched his head.

”Neither do I.” Caro brushed her dress. ”Anything you want to do?”

”Normal day.” Erio smiled.

”I'd like that too.” Caro responded and the two walked out from the room, vanishing into the elevator.

With a long yawn, the brunette flexed herself and rose up from her bed, breaking her own record in sleeping. Everybody else had already left the room, leaving only a healthy breakfast ready to eat behind. Wobbly she made it to the table and stuffed everything in her mouth before taking a long hot shower. It was her first, and last, real vacation day and she wanted to enjoy it as much as possible.

”Maybe Fate-chan and Nanoha-chan are free too.” Hayate planned aloud, drying herself in the flower decorated towel. Now fully awoke, she grabbed her usual suit before realizing that she didn't have to wear it. After a quick fashion show, she ran out of the room and walked officially down the corridors.

”Hayate's here.” She jumped inside the appartment.

”Good day Hayate-chan.” Nanoha waved from the couch.

”Morning Hayate.” Fate glanced at the woman before turning back to the tv.

”You seem busy.” Hayate deduced after seeing Nanoha cuddle against Fate under a blanket. "'Good job."' She spelled with her mouth for Fate.

”There's still room.” Nanoha lifted the edge of the blanket, showing two tangled half-naked bodies.

”I'm not going to interrupt this.” Hayate grinned and walked back to the door. ”Have fun.” She waved and left the room. ”Go Fate-chan!”

Determined to spend her day off with her friends she made her way to Yuuno's room only to find it empty. ”Propably with the rest of team geek...” She sighed and zigzagged the entire building.

”Vita!” Hayate yelled happily after seeing a glimpse of red clothed girl.

”Morning Hayate.” Vita stopped and turned to the woman panting next to her. ”Something happened?” She asked seriously.

”No, no.” Hayate shook her hands. ”I was just looking for company.”

”No paperwork or Linque training today?” Vita beamed and Hayate shook her head cheerfully. ”I'll volunteer.”

”Please.” Hayate tilted her head, smiling. ”Anything you want to do?”

”Not really.” Vita shook her head excited.

”Me neither.”

A distubting silence fell over and the two only stared at each other.

”What do people do on vacations?” Hayate spoke out.

”I have no idea.” Vita added and the silence continued.

”Should we ask for help?” Hayate suggested, scratching her cheek.

”But who? The pairs are not an option and neither is team geek.” Vita pondered.

”Forwards?”

”Pairs are no good. They have weird tastes.” Vita complained.

”Ah, I see. Pairs...” Hayate held her chin with her hand. ”New people?”

”Oh, god no.” Vita shook her head.

”How about we make a dinner for the others, like back in the days?”

”I think they would love it.” Vita smiled happily.

”Now where did those kids go to?” Same scratched his head in the empty room. ”Rio-tan score!” He deduced and elboved nothing behind him multiple times. ”I suppose my job here is done.”

With fined actions he rolled out of the room and made his way to the third room from the right.

”Here's your chair.” He smiled at the boy in the bed.

”I hope you enjoyed it.” The black haired youngster smiled.

”Enough to come test it again.” Same waved and entered the light green corridor.

Slightly tired, Same slugged in the suprisingly empty corridor. It was silent for a hospital but that might have been because it was a resting area. The elevator reached the floor with a cheering ding and he stepped inside the spacey box. With a drowzy yawn, he folded his arms and leant on the mirrored walls.

Stopping in between, the lift reached the first floor where a wide hall opened to greet him with it's empty colors. Cushioned seats filling the sides were filled with people of many faces. Nobody looked at the person next to them and so didn't Same. With sound, rhythmic steps he made his way throught the hall to the reception.

”RF6 has left the building.” He waved and moonwalked the final meters out from the building.

Behind the sliding doors, a crowded street bathed in the hot midday sun. Covering his eyes from the bright sunlight, Same stepped down the rock stairs with sliding movement. His strange behaviour gathered many glances of various lenghts. He was determined to find her today and gathered as much attention as possible.

”Thank you all for coming here for me!” Same yelled at the streaming crowd. ”Your attendance here is most appreciated, so do watch as I dance.” He crouched down and rose slowly, extending his arm at the same time. ”And dance with me!” The walking shadows from the ground rose and joined him in his bad dancing. ”Tell your friends about a shadow stealing dancer, I will be here all day!”

Pride was cast aside as he continued his untrained dancing. Nobody stopped, but everybody noticed.

Nothing else mattered.
