I saw a pic of Yamada in the preview pages for the march edition of Ultra jump. A needless chapter without either Disk or Yamada always makes me feel slightly disappointed so I do hope he'll also make an appearance in chapter 98.

The preview sentence for this month's release says: Kafka&Uten vs Seto&Solva who'll win?! I hope the fight will be ended in this chapter. But I'm curious how Seth and Solva will take care of someone who keeps regenerating. Their powers are mainly about inflicting blunt trauma and that doesn't look very effective when trying to destroy eden seed powered Needless permanently

^ That's not that strange is it? There are a lot of magazines who show a preview for the next week/month.
There are basically two previews, one on the Ultra Jump site for the current edition and in the magazine itself for the next edition.

Since Uten has lost his eden seed spear, I'd imagine that he would have lost any abilities he had to regenerate, leaving him with only his Stigmata to fall back upon. If Seto develops her own Stigmata, the fight's most likely to end with Uten a bloody smear on the sidewalk. As for Kefka, Seto might not be able to destroy him, but I'd imagine she might be able to either trap him, or remove him from the fight.

One of the questions I have, though is how is Seto going to survive that spear wound. That last picture we saw when Solva tossed the spear away was really nasty, and I'm not sure she can survive that without having either gained the regeneration power from the spear, or help from Eve or Disk.

Very wise. I just made the mistake of looking at the March edition preview page. Of course, I had to try to decipher the text, only to discover that it not only hints at what's coming up in chapter 99 but also, by implication, provides a bit of a spoiler for chapter 98... So don't open that tag!

What caught my attention about it was the advertisement that Chapter 99 will have the color images but I didn't notice the text below was the preview to Chapter 99 (couldn't read it at first). Just went back and looked at it now.

Mostly excited for who will be in the next fight. Should be interesting to watch that and see what happens.

is that demonic looking sword with those screaming faces, twisted flesh, and blood becomes all cartoony like (or at least non-threatening) when Mio stabs the bag. It's very cute.

Look at Kafka's face after he regenerates. Do the scars around his eyes remind you of anyone? It's probably just a coincidence, but...

Been a while since I've seen a raw where Mio has some dialogue, and I was just thinking, even the font she speaks in is cute. It's like it was written in crayon.

Okay. Based on that preview page for next month's Ultra Jump (where did Ynot find that, by the way?), here are my predictions for what's coming up in chapter 98. Warning: There's some information about the contents of chapter 99. If you prefer to remain in the dark where that's concerned, don't read this! (But I suspect most of you will regardless.)

Spoiler:

So what do we have?
First, there's a picture of Yamada. My guess is, it's just a random illustration of the main character (it's from chapter 92 by the way) and doesn't tell us anything useful, like whether or not he's actually going to make an appearance. Or what he'll be wearing.
Then it says it'll be in the centre of the magazine, with colour pages. Well, it would be the start of a new volume, so that's to be expected. OK, Avvesione already mentioned that, I suppose it doesn't really need a spoiler tag...

The text below the artist's name is pretty hard to make out, but a combination of guesswork and wishful thinking yields the following:

Mio and Teruyama VS Setsuna and Kuchinashi.
Seth and Solva VS Uten and Kafka.
2 big battles... and something I can't read. (I can plausibly get 2大バトルの**は but I've reached the limits of my knowledge and have no idea what characters those blobs might be.)

So we know who's alive and well and still able to fight in chapter 99, from which we can deduce what has to happen before that:

Teruyama is revived somehow. I'm thinking it's quite likely Uten's spear has something to do with that. (I wrote this last night, by the way. Old news now, but at least I got something right...)
Seth survives her crucifixion. (It's a doddle. ) It would be pretty boring if being transfixed by that spear had no net result, so I'm betting on some kind of power-up. Stigma(ta)? Maybe...
And obviously no resolution of the current battles. I wonder if that's enough to fill a chapter? Maybe Yamada will turn up after all.

Oh, yes, and given that the supporting characters are still slugging it out in chapter 99 (not to mention it's the start of a volume), I think it's starting to look pretty unlikely that part 1 is going to end at chapter 100. I think I've only changed my mind about that twice. So far.

Isn't that the same BBS where they said Yamada was exiting trap mode? I hope this month's information is a bit more reliable...

^ It's the same bbs but they never said Yamada was exiting trap mode. Whoever thought so simply read too much into it when trying to translate a sentence, which can easily happen when you don't have that much experience translating Japanese. Now that I think of it I don't think that piece of information was presented as absolute truth either so meh.

I'm certainly no exception and that's why I said "looks" instead of "definitely". But here's the part which makes me think so. You can decide for yourself whether there's any truth to it or I'm just giving in to wishful thinking.
