I rather like the shock of Kana finding out in such a way. I mean it was only a matter of time before it happened, so i'm glad it happened during such a frantic situation.

I especially like the Nurarihyon one . Anyone else get that reference?

I didn't even know there were light novels. Some of those stories sound very interesting. Thanks for the link.

BTW, since I have free time, I am working on a NuraMago Charactar Relationship Chart (inspired by a certain TAMNI chart). It is more or less complete, but it could use some more editing and arrows
(it is up to date to chapter 163) EDIT: just noticed that one of LN3 illustrations went MIA... And while we are at it, I love Gyuuki's facepalm ^_^

It was a frantic situation, but honestly, it wasn't what I would consider to be a 'scene that came with the dramatic build-up' fit for the revelation. It was more of a situation necessary for Rikuo to enter the 'Rikuo Hunt' arc.

The start of this arc was awesome got to see the fact that Day Rikuo has some moves of his own. Very nice. Kana was so meh to me? But at least she finally knows.

but do we need to drag on the hyakumonogatari arc any longer?
what's wrong with settling scores right now? I think no matter what the author tries to do it will always be perceived as that seemingly fillerish arc that preluded the final Seimei arc So yes, I think a pseudo tournament like this is enough to wrap up the arc and solve any lingering questions. What this arc still can do: It could flesh out more Nuragumi characters, but is there anyone who still needs it? Rikuo's inner core have already received sufficient fleshing out. I guess they could still explain what happened to Setsura, but it's probably one of those things the author likes to keep to himself. The debut of the new Nenekirimaru or whatever Akihisa is forging for Rikuo More Ryouji brand onmyouji lies and trolling. Maybe give more context to how exactly Yamabuki Otome died.. suicide seems so.. anticlimatic

Abe no Seimei is not the main villain tough. He may become later, but as of now, Sanmoto and his Clan are the main villains and were ever since it was revealed that they were behind the Shikoku invasion. The Kyoto Arc was just one part of the bigger story.
And once a main villain shows his face, you have to properly introduce him, thus them getting their own arc to show who they are, how they work, what kind of Youkai they are, what their goals are as well as well as let them build a relationship with Rikuo. Dragging out would be following the 300 years war between Rihan and HM (for which Nura Clan thought ended around the end of Meiji Era) instead of just showing their first conflict. Right now, we are only getting the necessary info while the rest will be left for flashback, Light Novels and possibly special chapters.
