I haven't heard of any plans yet, but Yen Press is my best bet in due time. They did it for Higurashi after all.

By the way, does anyone know when the Ep7 manga will start?

I'm not sure but I've seen these 4 panel comics (arranged in a square) of Umineko done in a particular style. Do you know if they are part of a series or something?

I think the manga just started, I saw they released the image of the cover somewhere online.

Are you referring to rifyu's work, by any chance? XD Because that's one of the most common Umineko 4komas.

And yep, I've seen the cover, but I'm asking when it's going to start (i.e. first chapter gets released).

Yup I think it's rifyu. I just found out about them so I don't know to much but is there a collection of them somewhere?

I'm not sure as of yet.

Yep, you can go to danbooru or safebooru and simply search for rifyu, and tons of them will appear.

I'm wondering, when they printed the Umineko manga originally did they have to spend extra to print the read ink? (Or was it black and white)

If I'm not wrong there was red ink in the magazine serializations but not in the volumes.

I really hope whoever does the American manga will spring for the extra penny a page (or however much) for red, blue, and gold....

Yen Press is mostly likely to get the Umineko manga for the US.
For Higurashi they kept some of the color pages.
Who knows if they would for Umineko's colored text, especially in later EPs...

Not really expecting them to do color text with color. Maybe grayscales? Hopefully not just underlines.

Spoiler for EP5 manga chapter 2:

EP5 art is a bit more angular than usual and looks close to normal shonen manga. Natsuhi, Kinzo and Beatrice are done well, but Krauss is weirder than usual.

Spoiler for EP6 manga chapter 2:

Yep, I like the Ep6 art a lot. Maybe it's because I'm more inclined towards that style, but I really like it.

Ahh, can't wait for the Ep7 one.
