Kyomi who ran it the last two years seems to have not made a post since March and hasn't logged in for two weeks. It's also two weeks after it was started last year. As I am bored today, I'll make the thread for this year, and should he return, I will of course include Kyomi in running it. So wait a bit, and the nomination thread shall appear. I'll pretty much stick to the rules that were previously used.

To start the ball rolling, I've compiled a list of anime that ended in 2009 (PDF) using the AniDB database.
Cross Game lovers beware! By the usual standard that a show must have ended in the calendar year for which votes are cast, Cross Game is not eligible for 2009.
