When Matsumoto called Haineko 'Bakeneko', it should translate as 'cat spirit' instead of 'stupid cat'.
Although it sounds similar to 'baka neko', I don't think it was an intended pun.

Anyway, enjoyable ep. , but I would prefer to see loose these 2 particular zampaktou for a little longer. It's a shame because on the next episode they will be probably subdued by their owners. Oh well

I guess he's trying to study hollows and find the strongest ones so he can attempt to use them. Since after his fight with Ichigo/Hichigo he was pretty intrigued about the concept of hollows.

it was funny

i liked Haineko & Tobiume parts but i didnt expect Tobiume to be ..... like Haineko!!

Again, it's a crazy theory. Certainly possible so far, and it would be a very interesting twist. Plus it would explain why he's roaming around in the Menos Forest(arrancar zanpakutos need to devour hollows for sustenance without their masters?) and why he's interested in Ichigo, the only Shinigami he's seen so far that has a hollow half, thus closer to being an arrancar.

Then again, maybe he's Ashido's zanpakuto. There's still quite a few possibilities here.

That's pretty much the reason why I entertained similar thoughts... We will find out soon enough I guess.
