Lol. This is the best show in quite a while. Pure Entertainment.

I was trying so hard to figure out what might the troll be when he was narrating him saving the girl but he is such a good troll that I discarded simple options and had to wait until pretty much the end to see where he was taking it. And although I did think that guy would be the aggressive alien, I didn't see him being alive. I mean, the fucking corpse has teeth knocked out and is all rotten for heaven's sake >.>

Lesson : Aliens, especially Royal Aliens, should never be trusted.

I love the character interactions in this show.
The verbal fight in the apartment had me laughing hard especially when the prince brought in the body and the guy was apologising. I loved how quick the comedy progressed.
The scene in the café was awesome. The prince nonchalantly explaining the situation was equally as funny as in the apartment.
I liked the girl confirming her suspicion pretty quickly that the main guy is a former punk. Just quietly revealing something about one of the main characters.

I think it's been a slow start but this is one I definitely look forward to each week. I'm thinking it's baseball that is keeping those two races from fighting each other on earth.

That's exactly what Yoshihiro Togashi is excels at. Despite of his inconsistency in drawing style (tends to go from wonderful to worst to mediocre, those who read HxH should know about this), but one thing he never fails at, is delivering a good storyline. You could say that he is "Shinichiro Watanabe" at manga dept, and among one of the best mangaka of all time. Forget about those mangakas that love to use the same old kind of plot (yea justice and whatever)... Yoshihiro Togashi is the guy who dares to go "out of the box" and delivers something so different, yet enjoyable.

Now, if there's a thing about him that ppl would probably poke at, that would be his "too simple + messy --> near realistic" art that he used for all his works. But i hardly find it necessary for me to comment on, coz for me, that is just his trademark.

A strange suspicion here, but after looking at all those aliens grouped up and watching baseball actually does bring something. Also the fact that our main character is a baseball player helps this statement.

That and how the grandsons of the leader were peering through to the MC's soul (it felt like it lol) while he was just arriving, how the taxi driver started talking about baseball off the blue and how the guard was like "those callouses" and how everyone is so pushy in that baseball club. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them were aliens.

That does bring up a point actually! They are closely... Very closely observing the possible competition in baseball

Kind of baseball themed but the main spotlight shines on the aliens obviously. If you tried the first episode which I think is a great introduction to the anime, you'll know if you like it or not. The OP also adds to the overall atmosphere, somehow (and doesn't have baseball in it).

Another great episode. The reveal from the previous episode got totally torn apart. It's also amusing how this show can make me laugh at a homicide joke.

that's why i think major public TV stations like the BBC, PBS and CBC should simulcast/show animes and help sub them for a western audience. It could provide a public service for Otakus and Japanophiles living in the West without any Corporate censorship

They are plenty of Japanese-speaking employees working for the BBC and PBS. Wouldn't it be great if their skills are used weekly to sub licenced animes rather than the yearly Miyazaki films?
