From my best understanding, most of Tokyo disruption are temporary (trains shut down for a day, traffic disruptions, power outages, some windows broken). I was in Tokyo during a 4.0 something scale quake before, it was quite a chaos in the train station afterward.
However, the situation is far more dire in Northeast Japan (around Sendai area). May things return normal there soon, and condolences to people who have lost friends and families. Anyway 2011 has been a crazy year with just 3 months in. I wish not only Japan peace, and also people in the Middle East as well. PS: I have not looked at the other Tanaka Ken post yet... I will tonight. As a bit of flavor: Spoiler for NSFW content near link:
That is taken from Sony HQ in Shinagawa, Tokyo... Apparently, it is some sort of auto-activated system whenever a quake strikes. |

A store employee of Tsutuya (something like Tower Records in Japan, a chain store) posted on the store twitter: Quote:

Either that, or we may be getting another "nice boat" moment (after all, it's possible that the events in the final two episodes may not be the type of programming to show after a major earthquake/tsunami/possible nuclear crisis).

Point 1: New reservations are still being taken as BD has not gone on sale yet. Point 2: While the quake is surely nasty, it hits a relatively low population region of Japan - the hardest hit areas are in Sendai and Fukushima which has like 3-4 million people vs 100+ for the rest of the nation from the rest of Japan which suffers small damage. Would the quake and rebuilding hurt the economy, yes... but it will be mostly regional... (Gut feeling is less than 5% of sales will possibly be effected based on population effected by quake severely). |

Anyway, so far, I read that broadcast of Madoka episode 10 on TBS is delayed and that SHAFT's work places are a bit shaken up, with relatively minor damage, so assuming the aftershocks don't cause more damage and the staff are all in one piece and alive, the next episode should be released on schedule. Though, if it's not, it's perfectly understandable. And as for BD/DVDs, it would be nice to see SHAFT upping themselves once again. Bakemonogatari turned out to be a massive hit and Madoka has all the possibilities of topping it, assuming the remaining episodes don't turn out to be a massive disappointment.

Another point, isn't entropy an utterly pointless concept if time can be looped; I mean wouldn't it be more practical just to go back to a state with lower entropy. Anyway, still the whole sci-fi turn annoys me, like Star Trek and almost all sci-fi shows the script-writers just rely on the ignorance of the audience and forget even their high-school physics. I still hope QB, trolled Madoka though Something else I am not clear about, even after rewatching last episode, does Homura willingly travel back in time, or is it triggered by her wish, or both And why it is interesting to note that even though events restart, several things are not the same... implying that events from past timelines, somehow affect the coming ones [slightly OT] Why ignore roriconfan? I for one find his posts amusing, as well as some replies even more funny. Just remember that trolling, baiting, and flame wars are an intristic part of the internets [/OT] Back on topic, when (and more importantly how) will Madoka's cat appear now that we got the most likely theory confirmed (time-traveling Homura vs. cat-girl Homura). Finally, I will be disappointed if Madoka's family survives the show |

Oriko Madoka manga cover revealed. It looks cute, which makes me even worried when we see guro scenes.
