Wow, first long last name in the Raildex fandom... not... forgot there's Tsukimikado... I think I spelled it wrong.
But anyways, I also did a search after obtaining the digital c/p version of the kanji thanks to a friend and I got these: 柳迫【やぎさこ】 (kanji info) name Yagisako (s) 柳迫【やなぎさこ】 (kanji info) name Yanagisako (s) 柳迫満【やなぎさこみつる】 (kanji info) name Yanagisako Mitsuru (h) (1975.4.6-) 柳迫【やなはく】 (kanji info) name Yanahaku (s) 柳迫【やなさこ】 (kanji info) name Yanasako (s) 柳迫【やなせこ】 (kanji info) name Yanaseko (s) I'm guessing we'll have to wait for Project Railgun to officially release the romaji of Aomi's name in their character profiles... *Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録(インデックス), lit. Toaru Majutsu no Kinshomokuroku (Indekkusu)?, translated as A Certain Magical Index of Prohibited Books (shortened to A Certain Magical Index) is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura; the series is published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. The series was made into a manga, beginning serialization in May 2007, and an anime[1] which aired between October 2008 and March 2009, containing twenty-four episodes. A side story manga series, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲(レールガン), Toaru Kagaku no Rērugan?, lit. A Certain Scientific Railgun), began serialisation in March 2007 and was later adapted into an anime, which began airing in October 2009* gotta love wiki |

Guys, are there mentions of the names of the following characters in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun?
> the Pyrokinesist in Episode 1 > the Equal Speed guy in Episode 5 > the Flux Coat girl in Episode 8

I'm guessing Project Railgun will update their character list after the last episode airs or something... I'm checking constantly to see if they update it somehow. =/
(also, makes me wonder why they gave Aomi a last name that is kinda hard to figure out in romanized form) |

Thanks to the image Avegaille handed out to me, I've extracted the name from the results from the screenshot and discovered that the Pyrokinesist's name is Okahara Ryouta (丘原燎多).
EDIT: WTH? I should have checked this for that. I felt like I wasted my effort squinting in the monitor to sort out the blurred kanji. D: PLUS: I lol'd when I saw how Hitotsui Hajime is kanjified: 一一一.

The only warning I'll give is that the cameos of Index-main characters will feel extremely odd, as you'll have no backstory for their scenes. As long as you remember that Railgun is a side-story to Index, and that there will be things you sort of shrug at that any fan of Index will squee wildly about, you can certainly enjoy Railgun by itself. However, even a passing knowledge of Index will increase enjoyment of Railgun, so I really recommend you watch Index too. Even a couple episodes, just to get a groundwork of what's going on over there (and Misaka's place in it all).

Its alright to watch railgun before index or more likely watch them separately. Their are large amount of problem due to the time line of railgun that will make one confusing to even tell if they REALLY run along together.

So, we're going to get TAMNI season 2 somehow, if not this year, maybe next year, but nothing was mentioned of TAMNI ending just like that, I mean the light novels are still on-going. |
