Define "look like their anime counterpart". methinks that's not going to be a very faithful reproduction, lol. |

Preview of K-On! Movie's ending theme "Singing!" by Houkago TeaTime. A song very much in the same vein as K-On!'s previous Yoko Hikasa EDs. Ahh...nice to hear Hikasa behind the mic as Mio again.

Wow, both the OP and ED for the movie are pleasant to hear.
Good thing the new audio CDs will come at the end of this year although we can't see the movie at least until next year

I like those heavy drums in the intro very much. I really wouldn't mind some rougher K-On songs.
I mean, the possibilities are endless. Starting off with some light bubblegum pop/rock, progressing into punk/rock and finally maturing into progressive rock/metal. Jesus. There's enough material for a music themed anime right there.

Some recent news from a Kyoani event today:
- The whole Kyoani staff finished the final check-up for the K-On! movie today. - Veteran Kyoani director Yoshiji Kigami said that the characters were all very cute, and seeing the whole movie in its glory was a moving experience. - A lot of the people were skeptical as to whether a K-On! movie could be interesting. Director Yamada of course thought otherwise. - K-On! remains a social phenomenon in Japan, related goods have sold over 1.5 billion yen and counting. - Director Yasuhiro Takemoto(FMP, Lucky Star): The next Kyoani work is to be announced soon in an anime magazine(probably NewType). There has been no hints to what it could be, except that the genre of the series is something that begins with "mi" (み). Speculations: Mystery? Military? (more FMP, or the recently announced anime adaption of Kadokawa manga "Upotte!!") Music? (more 'K-On!!!'?)

^ 'Music' begins with 'myu' (ミュ), so K-ON! S3 is probably unlikely right now. Plus, if they're gonna do it some time, I think they'd rather wait till Kakifly has made more progress with his manga and things start heating up a bit (things like actually deciding who will sing for the HS band and when the Uni bands will be performing and what they'll play).

i heard there'd be a season 3 for k-on already. =DD somebody linked an article to yaraon stating this and unfortunately for me, Yukiko horiguchi won't be the character designer anymore. DX
i couldn't find the article anymore.. |
