As my one-thousandth post, I'm going to start my own thread with those odds and ends avatars and signatures that I've cobbled together...
Let's start off with my current avatar and signature: And now I present the matching sets for the other girls! . . . (these are not up for grabs yet, I'm still need to tweak them a little bit) <--claimed by garra113 And here's the sigs of the main Kanon girls I made: (which are up for grabs) . . That's all for now! Oh oh, first to reply ^_^ . Somehow I was sure that not all the artists had opened a thread yet. So you were one! Nice stuff by the way, congrats. I especially love the Lucky Star combos. (of course Kagami is my favorite one, but also that of Tsukasa is very nice )
p.s. attention on the Tsukasa siggy. Last name says "Hiiraga" while the correct one is "Hiiragi" (you wrote it right on Kagami, so it must be just a typo ^^). I'll end with your favourite smiley.

Oh good work. The nayuki sig is very well done. Though some siggys need a bit of matching fonts =/. Well I can' really say mine never match =P. Still I like your creations you have a creative imagination. Usually I need to read tuts or have a quick 2hr nap or full good night sleep to think of ideas. still as Konata would say. Good Job! -_-b

@Crow: I find it odd to see the different art styles for the same character in the same signature... Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at different persons altogether, but it's still great at any rate ^^. Cookie. |

Keep plugging away and the experience you gain will benefit your creations! (as one who was there will attest!) I couldn't find a suitable pic of Miyuki in her bathing suit, so this little gem fit the bill! Quote:

Well, it's time to actually post something else in my thread...
When I first registered in December of '05 (after the "Great Hack of 2005"), the first avatar I used was this one: = Crow T. Robot of TV's Mystery Science Theater 3000! Here are a couple of clips from episode 212: "Godzilla vs. Megalon" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qdOo7YJbM4 (part 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhsRVuxx_VE (part 2) I kept that for about three months or so until I noticed a couple of people sporting new signatures consisting of some schoolgirl in a blue and white uniform with a yellow ribbon in her hair... and the rest is history... I think the first avatar change I made was to this one from episode 3: (thanks Pellissier!) and my first signature was this one: (thanks Panzerfan!) It was about this time I bought 'the poor man's Photoshop' (Elements 4.0 because Windows' Paint just wouldn't cut it. ) and started to make my own starting with modifying Panzerfan's (with his permission, of course!). Then came this maids thing... (I don't understand it either...) . More later! |

Double post! (or more of that boring history stuff)
To continue... the first true original signature I made for myself came after Haruhi episode 12 where I got this theme based on Billy Joel's "A Matter of Trust" and featuring Haruhi and Kyon. I made three versions and you can see the progression as I started to use more features of Photoshop and develop my sense of design: This last sig I used for about two months with only a break for... fanservice! TBC... next post will be the last history lesson, I promise! btw, bigdave, I saw those Ku-Fei pics you posted in Sweethoney's thread and some of them just screamed at me to make a sig out of them. Thus: If bigdave doesn't want this sig, it will be up for grabs! Last edited by CrowKenobi; 2007-06-10 at 03:35. Reason: changed word choice |

like it for the obvious reasons lol It doesn't seem as busy as the other sigs. I don't like busy sigs alot. too much action happening in one signature is too much for an old man like me to take. Spoiler for nice lighting:
That one is nice, something about the lighting really makes it stand out from the others, i'm liking the style ^^ keep up the great work
