To be fair, he used both hands... and it does look like Claw absorbed most of the damage, since it cracked after holding for a while.

And this episode also shows why Jail's such an extravagant fearless bastard. So long as any one of his Numbers make it out okay, even if he dies, he'll be back. Though I wouldn't call it a perfect plan... it's a damn good plan.

I've got to say, I am incessantly thankful they didn't make Jail the stereotypical loser evil scientist that pisses their pants once they're faced with true danger.

Since Scaglietti went blabbing about his Horcrux Number back-up plan to Fate, maybe they can find a way to remove the Jail-seed from the Numbers. Besides... Cinque is still missing...

Maybe she's really gone, as the last insurance. As confident as Jail is, it's pointless if ALL 12 Numbers get arrested and kidnapped.
