Despite being the pricey hardware with excessively limited memory card space, I feel at least the available games are as good as ones on 3DS.

Sega, Valkyria Producer Unveil World End Eclipse Online RPG

Quote:
Enterbrain's Famitsu magazine is announcing on Thursday that Sega will release a brand-new "theatrical online RPG" titled The World End Eclipse for PCs, the PlayStation Vita system, and smartphones. Shinji Motoyama (Valkyria Chronicles) will serve as the producer for the game.

The story involves a world where dragons once fought each other and became extinct. However, after the dragons died out, the humans who were driven off the land constructed towns out of the dragons' decaying bodies. The protagonist will belong to the "Hunting Corps," and fellow humans must protect themselves from goblins, humans, and other threats.
It looks very interesting but Online? Smartphones? WHY SEGA? WHY? :'(

Just finished Danganronpa 2. I really think anyone has a Vita should give this series a chance. It's so good.

Well definitely enjoyed the first one. Looking forward to seeing how the second game turned out when I have the chance .

It's much better, but some of the mini games also more annoying. The story, though, much more impact and the pacing is way faster than the first game. There are more characters I like than previous game, too, but that's subjective.

Still sounds like something I'll have a lot of fun with when I can get it. Plus I'll certainly take more likable characters if we end up seeing them the same way . Enjoyed the first game plenty so if they improved things (aside from some mini games) that's a definite positive.

Next was Project Sissors, a spiritual sequel to Clock Tower. Working on the project are game designer Hifumi Kouno (Clock Tower director), created designer Masahiro Ito (worked on Silent Hill., designed pyramid head and bubblehead nurses), and Takashi Shimizu (directed the Juon films).
Quote:
"The game’s setting is aboard a luxurious cruise liner in the middle of the ocean. As the ship sails across the deep blue ocean, a series of gruesome and mysterious murders begins to take place, including those of the ship’s crew. Soon the ocean liner is crippled and adrift at sea, and has become an inescapable trap for the passengers. As a passenger of the ship, the player will be tasked with solving the murder mystery to ensure their own survival as well as the rest of the ‘innocent’ passengers."
Huge news to me. I love Clock Tower.

SCEA and SCEE have posted their initial compatibility lists for the PlayStation (Vita) TV in their repective regions.

There are a few games which work on the Vita TV over in Japan but which aren’t yet on either list: Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment (though I think it may have needed a separate patch update, which I hope may be included in this week's update in North America and Europe), the various games from the Hyperdimension Neptunia series which are curently on Vita (PP, Re;Birth1, Re;Birth2, Geki Noire, and U – the first two of which are available in the West), Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus (which is being released in North America on the same day as PSTV), and many others (such as Danganronpa: Another Episode).

But then, these are initial lists only, so more games are likely to be added as time goes on.

The Neptunia and SAO games in particular are a bit of a bummer for me but having the Atelier, Blazblue and Persona games in there more than makes it worth it for me.

It's just a shame that Wipeout 2048 is missing from the list :/

Question regarding regional DLCs. Pardon, I'm still new

Say I have an R3 game. Do I really need to use an asia PSN account to download its DLC?

I can't speak for Vita but that was the case when the PS3. I assume it's the same.
I had a character code for Disgaea 4 and I needed to make an asian PSN account to download it.

I seriously hope Phantasy Star Nova gets an English release...it looks like one is not announced, just Japanese and Chinese.

Yes, you have to. The worse thing is you can't freely switch account on the Vita.

I think (but haven't tried it yet) that you need to do more than have two memory cards to switch between accounts. You actually have to do a full system reset and login again with the new card in the system. Very annoying.

Yes you have to do a factory reset everytime you want to switch your account. It's really annoying.
