Voice Cast
All we know about the voice cast is that Leivinia Birdway and Othinus should sound similar. There are also the following seiyuu who had already appeared in Raildex, but under background character roles: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito, Sorata Kanda, Sora) Megumi Han (Gon, Misogi Utakata, Benio Adashino) Kaito Ishikawa (Heivia Winchell, Harutora Tsuchimikado) Saori Oonishi (La Folia Rihavein, Ayumu Fukasaka, Aiz Vallenstein) Risa Taneda (Mirai Kuriyama, Xenovia, Rory Mercury) That aside, here are my personal picks for the new voice cast: OT14: • Ryuusei Nakao (Freeza and Mayuri Kurotsuchi) would be a perfect fit for Terra of the Left. Welp, Terra already has Hochu Ootsuka. OT15: There are TONS of new people here. ITEM is fully voiced. (Ami Koshimizu for Mugino, Aya Suzaki for Takitsubo, Chinatsu Akasaki for Saiai, and Maaya Uchida for Frenda) GROUP is fully voiced. (Anri Katsu for Tsuchimikado, Harumi Sakurai for Awaki, Daisuke Kishio for Etzali and Nobuhiko Okamoto for Accelerator) SCHOOL has four major characters whose involvement in OT15 is major. Some people suggest Hiroshi Kamiya should go for Kakine Teitoku. MEMBER has four notable characters, but their roles are only restrained to the arc itself. BLOCK only has two major characters: Saku Tatsuhiko and Teshio Megumi. Thus, the two other members can be covered by minor characters or even new voice actors. OT16 will take place in Academy City and will feature the return of Acqua and the Amakusas. No new voice cast. OT17-18: British Royal Family • Ikuko Tani (Chiyo from Naruto) OR Hisako Kyouda (Magno Vivan from Vandread) would be Queen Elizard. • Ai Kayano (Asfi Al Andromeda) would be First Princess Riméa. Itsuwa is already voiced by Ai Kayano, and considering her major role in this arc, she can't voice another secondary character. • Miyuki Sawashiro (Celty from DRRR!, Masami Iwasawa from Angel Beats!, Seri Awashima from K) is a nice pick for Second Princess Carissa. New Light • Inori Minase (Hestia from Danmachi) would be able to pull off Lessar's playful teasing personality. OT20-22: • Some anons are suggesting Toshiyuki Morikawa (Griffith from Berserk, Kaname Tousen from Bleach, Yoshikage Kira from Jojo) or Takahiro Sakurai for Fiamma of the Right. • I pick Mutsumi Tamura (Finn Deimne from Danmachi) as Krans R. Tsarkiy, Patriarch of the Russian Orthodoxy. Others: • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is a perfect fit for Sogiita Gunha and his GUTS. • Mamoru Miyano is such a perfect fit for Thor that it's ridiculous!

Edit: Come to think of it, several of the major Amakusa don't seem to have seiyuu attached to them.

How would you anime all of Index OT?
I would put the SP, SS Norse Mythology, SS Necessarius Special Entrance Exam, OT14-16 and SS2 into a 26 episode season 3. Then I would make a 26 episode Season IV which cover OT17-22. Last edited by DragonXX; 2017-10-06 at 20:48. |

As far as the speculation regarding pacing, I find it useful to look at the previous seasons
Index I 1-6: Volume 1 (6 ep) 7-9: Volume 2 (3 ep) 10-14: Volume 3 (5 ep) 15-17: Volume 4 (3 ep) 18-20: Volume 5 75% (3 ep or ~4ep/vol) 21-24: Volume 6 (4 ep) Going by word count, Index I animated 24% of OT's text. Index II 1: Volume 5 25% (1 ep or ~4 ep/vol) 2-5: Volume 7 (4 ep) 6-7: Volume 8 (2 ep) 8-10: Volume 9 (3 ep) 11-16: Volumes 10, 11 (3 ep/vol) 17-22 + 1/3 of 23: Volumes 12, 13 (3.1 ep/vol) 2/3 of 23 + 24: Volume SS1 (1.7 ep/vol) Going by word count, Index II animated 34% of OT's text. (Leaving 42% remaining in OT) Extrapolating to the end of OT Volumes 1 and 3 were given 6 and 5 episodes, which I see as somewhat of an exception as there's a bit more weight to those stories (as dramatic and plotfilled as later volumes are, I'd still hold 1 and 3 above the rest). But other than that, most volumes are 3-4 episodes; Index II had average of around 3.3 episodes per volume. I'm going to assume most of SS2 isn't animated, since the stories are mostly short and disconnected, even compared to SS1 (you're welcome to disagree). With that assumption giving 9 volumes and 3.3 ep/vol, going to the end of OT should take 29-30 episodes. Or alternatively, using the word count metric at season 2's pacing, but including SS2 unlike above, the estimate is 30 episodes. Or if I cut SS2, then the word count metric results in 28 episodes. So I'd say a reasonable estimate to get to the end of OT based on season 2's pacing is somewhere 28-30 episodes. They could easily extend that to 36 episodes, and I'm sure that's what most fans of the LN would want. However, while I don't think it would be as easy, but if just to play devil's advocate, I also think that could be shortened 24 episodes (or 26 maybe if they break tradition). I would say the multivolume story arcs give more flexibility to reduce episode count that way. I also think that the season 2 pacing is just about right for for 24 episodes and a movie to finish OT. I think there are a range of reasonable options for them to take to get to the end of OT, so I'm not going to claim one is more likely than the others. |

It sounds nice, but WW3 probably doesn't constitute a movie(s). In the first place, number 1 would be pretty boring because not much happens until the end of OT20, and OT21/22 are among the shortest volumes in the series. JC Staff would simply need to allocate more resources into making the Fiamma/Gabriel scenes look good for TV, realistically.

I'm tired of people acting like WWIII is some giant event that would take 3 movies or 46/30/50 Episodes to adapt. Yes its maszive in terms of scale of threat and epicness of events, but not a lot actually happens. Or at least not that much. A movie is out of the question. I do wonder how many episodes it would take to adapt. Any chill person have an actual logical guess?
