A while back I read a manga that I felt like re-reading again. The basic plot was of this girl who tried insanely hard to get the best grades in the class, then some guy joins her class who gets better grades than her without even trying. Starts off as a competition but it turns romantic after a few volumes.

If anyone knows what manga I'm talking about please refresh my memory of what the name is!

That's from High School Girls. But as you will notice, the anime is nothing like those images make it look like it is.
That's merely some random thing they pull at the beginning of episodes, or in the preview.

The first impression I got from the clip was, the character designs look like Sakura Diaries. So I looked it up and found that the original character designer was U-jin. Next, I dug around on his works and presto, that clip was from an adult OVA called Vixens/ヴィジョナリィ.
