Hmmm i think its Kiba .. because of the next part ... I think bcz if kiba were to die also for being reckless the girls will more be depressed so thats why he decided to be calm ...I can be wrong though

Part 1

From the memo Grayfia gave to Kiba, the Gremory group (Rias, Akeno, Asia, and Koneko) and Ravel went to a town in the human world which is 8 station away from the town Ise and others live. They enter an old-building where Ajuka Beelzebub is said to be staying currently. The first floor of the building is an lobby and there are human’s chatting with each other. They notice the Gremory group entered and took their mobile out. They realise that they are devils and are shocked at the power-level of them. Then a woman appeared. She’s a devil. She asks Rias and others to follow her and that Ajuka is waiting for them.



They used the elevator to go to the rooftop. The woman leaves and someone calls them. It’s Ajuka who is sitting on a chair.

“The Gremory group. Never thought you would be coming as a group.”

“Ajuka-sama.”

Rias calls his name.

“I heard the story. Seems like you were drag into a something serious. No. Looks like it’s nothing new to your group. Your group is famous of receiving assaults like that.”

“There is something I want Ajuka-sama to have a look it.”

“Hou, something you want me to see? ---But looks like that will happen after.”

Rias walks towards Ajuka but Ajuka stops her from oming. He then looks towards the garden.

“Looks like we have a guest besides you.”

Kiba and others also realises a presence. Then devils came to the scene. The devils are terrorists who belongs to the Old-Maou faction. They have the power of High-class devils or higher.

“For you to be in a place like this in the human world, the impostor Maou, Ajuka.”

Ajuka smirks.

“I think it’s the charm of the old-maou faction that it is easy to tell who you are by just hearing your speech once.”

“I’m also here.”

A familiar voice. It’s Seigfreed from Hero-faction. Seigfreed took a glance at Gremory group once and then looked at Ajuka again. Seeing that Kiba felt something uneasy inside him. Kiba tries hard to keep the feeling in.

“……The ones who killed “him”……”

Akeno said that while releasing killing intent. She was lit with flame after knowing who they are. Kiba feels the same because the one they have to seek revenge against are right in front of them. Asia was looking at them with hatred eyes while having tears flowing out. But Kiba was in doubt because Hero-faction and Old-Maou faction who are supposed to be against each other are together.

“First time meeting you Ajuka Beelzebub. I’m Seigfreed from Hero-faction. And these people here are the staffs from the previous Maou faction who are cooperating with the Hero-faction.”

“I know you. You are a former warrior from the Church, correct Seigfreed-kun? You had your name at the top ranking. You were a threat to us before the alliance of three big powers. If I remember correctly your nickname is Chaos-edge Seig. ---So what business do you have with me? I already have a guest as you can see. I will hear your business then.”

“It’s the thing we have been ask you before. ---How about we make an alliance Ajuka Beelzebub. Even though you are Yondai-Maou, you have different ideology to Sirzechs Lucifer and also have your own authority. And your research relating to abnormal things surpasses others. I hear that you can gather the same number of people who cooperates with Sirzechs.”

“I’m certainly a Maou, and I move with my personal thoughts. I have been throwing away Sirzechs request numerous of times. From the sides, it might look like I’m against Sirzechs thoughts. The “Game” I’m currently working on is also part of my hobby.”

Seigfreed makes a bitter smile at Ajuka’s words.

“Because of that hobby, we also went through hell.”

“I can say the same to you.”

“The most attraction you have to us is that you are the only devil who could compete against “that” Sirzechs Lucifer. I hear that you and Sirzechs Lucifer are irregular devils who are envied greatly and feared by the descendants of previous Maou. If one of you join us, then we can’t ask for anymore man power than this.”

“I see. It might be interesting if I become a terrorist and oppose Sirzechs. Seeing his shocked face might be worth it.”

“We will also give you the information and research report to you as well. For someone like yourself who only makes new things, I can guarantee that these report will be something very worthy.”

“I see. The information and research report “Chaos Brigade” has. Yes, it certainly does seem charming.”

Kiba can’t tell whether Ajuka is serious or joking. But…..

“---But I don’t need it. To me the alliance with you does seem appealing but it’s something I have to decline.”

Saying that the devils from the Old-Maou faction increased their killing intent. Seigfreed doesn’t change his expression. But Seigfreed aks him why.

“The reason why I can concentrate on my hobbies is because Sirzechs includes all of my wills as well. He…. No. I have had a long relation with him. He’s the only one who I can call as my friend. That’s why I know him better than anyone and he knows me btter than anyone. I only became a Maou because he became a Maou. That’s how Sirzechs and my relationship goes.”

Kiba comments to himself that Sirzechs and Ajuka are old friends and a rival when they were younger. That was enough for Ajuka to reject the terrorists. Seigfreed nods without changing his expression as if he knew this would have happen.

“I see. A “friend” is a reason you decline us and I can’t understand that reason. But I understand that there are ways to decline like that.”

Seigfreed makes a sarcasm. Then devils from Old-Maou faction gets irritated. They argue to Seigfreed that they have to kill Ajuka here. Hearing how they speak Ajuka calls them boring. So the devils gets mad and make a battle stance against Ajuka. Ajuka then creates a small magic-circle with one of his arm. Ajuka decides that its useless to talk to them so he decided to kill them.

The devils releases huge amount of demonic powers from their hands. Kiba states that it’s a huge amount of demonic powers where even the Gremory team will become in a critical state if hit by it. But Ajuka just control the small magic circle while sitting down. The moment the devils attacks were about to hit Ajuka, it all went to different directions and misses. Seeing that the devils get astonished. Ajuka then speaks while sitting.

“You came here knowing about my ability right? Did you think that your demonic-powers will work against me? Or are you shocked because it ended like this even though you strengthened yourself? Either way it’s impossible for you guys.”

Kiba comments that Ajuka and Sirzechs were both Aces in the battle against the Old-Maou faction long time ago. They were both heroes and their story are known throughout the Underworld. Sirzechs has the destructive power which can perish everything. Ajuka on other hand can turn every phenomenon into equation and formula and control it to make it into a special move. The devils came here knowing that and strengthen themselves but the result ended like this. Then the attack which Ajuka controlled before came back and hits the devils directly at them. The ones hit by it perishes without making a sound. The ones who avoided it get shocked but their attacks follow them. Ajuka alters the attacks with his small magic-circle and increases their power of it while controlling it like his feet and hand. So the devils counterattacks with demonic-powers greater than before. But the one Ajuka is controlling easily breaks through their attacks and pierces through them. The old-maou faction devils dies instantly. Ajuka didn’t even get up from his chair. He then looks at Seigfreed.

“Now the only one left is Seigfreed-kun from the Hero-faction. What will you do?”

Seigfreed shrugs his shoulder.

“I still have a ace up my sleeve so I’m thinking about retreating after using that.”

Seeing his attitude, Kiba couldn’t keep his rage down. Ajuka then realises it.

“The Gremory’s “Knight”-kun over there. You have been giving of nice killing intent to him since before.”

Ajuka then clicks his fingers and say it.

“How about you become his opponent? By the looks of it you have acquaintance with this person from the Hero-faction. This building and roof gardening is made very solid. It won’t breakdown even with an attack with quite a force.”

Kiba couldn’t ask for anything more. He couldn’t keep down the feeling inside him. And Kiba takes a step.

“…..Yuuto.”

Rias calls his name.

“…..Buchou, I’m going. If you are going to fight alongside me, then please take care of then.”


Saying that Kiba creates a single Holy-demonic sword. Kiba then remembers what Ise said to him before.
[-Hey Kiba. Let’s make a promise that if one of us dies, we will fight for everyone else even more for that loss.]
Ise said that to Ise when they were training,
“What are you saying. We both will have to survive.”
Kiba replied like that. Ise then says it with a smile.
[I know. I also don’t have a slight intention of dying. Even so, we end up fighting strong foes. There were battles where it wasn’t weird for us to be dead.]
[That’s why we won’t know what will happen from now. That’s why I thought we should make a promise now if that happens. If one of us dies, then we will fight for everyone else even more.]
[Ah! I will repeat myself, but I don’t have any intent to die! I still haven’t taken the virginity of the woman I love!]
[Also I will be troubled if you die as well. I will hate it if my pal dies.]

Well Soji to back up your claim, he said he must remain calm so he can fight for everyone. In otherwords, keep his promise with Ise and the summary finally confirm that Ise is probably his only male friend. Whether or not it goes deeper is remain to be seen.

yeah as well as the reasoning dxd22 gave, it's just the way that this sentence is worded,

To me it sounds like this after reading that line:
1) obviously they love ise but if kiba died from fighting seigfreed then they would be even more shattered since now ise and kiba have died

and/or

2) this sentence could have been the views/feelings of the girls if ise were to die (which happened)

i can't decide between the two because of how the sentence was worded/ sounds in my head

debrr07@ It's you guys that see the line in the wrong way. That was kiba that think and say that even the girls know if they lose him(ise) they hearts would be shatter. The part after this was kiba that say that he can't stay calm and do the suppoert like he promise himself in the case Ise would be death. i don't think is soo hard understand this.He know the girls state of mind and that he have to stay calm for they sake and Ise sake(even if only for his memory). But because Seigfreed was before him he can't stay calm.

Sorry about that Daniel, some of us are trying our best to do so. Kiba seems to be fighting major church exorcists in this Novel. First it was Freed, he was considered a Prodigy in the church for killing monsters, shockingly he didn't do it for the greater good, but instead he only done so because he enjoyed killing. That was the prologue arc and vol 6. Seigfreed is the top of the Church exorcists, he was the best despite being human. Though the only reason it took the entire Gremory team to defeat him was because he wields Gram, the strongest Demonic Sword and he got a power up of some kind with the Old Maou blood. Where would he get something like that?

Somehow I don't think it works quite that way.

I think the "phoenix tears" is some kind of spring or water source controlled exclusively by the Phenex clan.
