The material was compressed somewhat for the anime, so there is additional material in the novels, and the ending is slightly different, and I think better, in the novels. The Novel version of "The Palmtop Tiger of Happiness", a spin off chapter in volume 2, had me rolling on the floor laughing. Much funnier than what they included of it in the anime. Also there are three spin off volumes not included in the anime about their school life.

For the anime in episode 16 what does Ami Mean by "Are your feelings of guilt gone?" when talking to Minorin.
I assumed Minorin finally started liking Ryuuji and wouldnt want to take him away from Taiga but im not so sure. Last edited by mircoman; 2010-08-12 at 07:58. |

I'd like to extend what's been happening at that moment from my perspective.
To my mind it was more directly connected to what people were saying nearby when they found Taiga's student ID and the picture with Taiga and Kitamura in it while commenting on that she really seems to like him (Kitamura). My interpretation is that Minori already realized her feelings for Ryuuji long before and therefor desperately wanted to believe that Taiga might genuinely like Kitamura, not Ryuuji, after all (although deep inside she knew otherwise) , hence surpressing her feelings of guilt towards Taiga. Not even Ami could know more than that at that point of time but she heard what was being said by the others and she knew about Minori's feelings and her reaction to the talk so with her comment she pretty much hit the bullseye. ps: yes, I just rewatched the series, so my impression is rather fresh |

Hey everyone.
I have a question regarding the last episode, not sure if this has already been asked. I'm a little confused as to why Taiga just up and left the school in the last episode. I know it was something to do with her mum. But it just felt really random and not that well explained lol. Did she just want space from Ryuji? *is confused* I know i definitely missed something lol.

It wasn't explicitly stated in the TV series that she lost the apartment, but if you recall Taiga's words about her father's business tanking, you should be able to put two and two together.
