Sinbad's aura of awesomeness had me watching his scenes over and over. I would like to compliment Daisuke Ono for his wonderful voice that helps to project the image of a carefree, easygoing yet surprisingly powerful and intelligent king. Perhaps I am being biased, since this dude is one of my favourite seiyuus.

Spoiler:
Judal kind of disappointed me. I think I might have hyped myself up for him because people kept saying what a great character he is. And while he is certainly better then most of Magi's other villains, I found his arrogance more annoying then fun *shrugs* But the friendship themes were again strong in this one. I loved seeing Aladdin stick up for Alibaba and Aladdin/Ugo stuff in this episode was really sweet too.

Spoiler:
Liked this episode...flew by super quick...and I think I can officially count Ono, Kaiji and Aladdin's VA on the list of favorite Japanese VAs that GDiddy will watch them in. Speaking of VAs....who was the Banker? Sounded familar... |

[Someone is lethally wounded]
[Everyone's doing their best OMGWTF face] [Cue the happy, sweet, sickening and unfitting girl idol song!] NOZOITE MIYOU, YUBI BOUENKYOU~<3 DA DA DA DA DADA DAAAA I have to keep telling myself that this'll only keep up for another 2-3 weeks before the new ED kicks in. >_<;; Great episode otherwise. It was such a joy hearing Ryohei Kimura go crazy as Judal. Can't stop rewatching his scenes. |

Episode 10:
Everything about this series is so dramatic that the emotions projected almost become tangible. The villains, and heroes are designed in such a way that the audience can only feel and express with limited range of emotion. I haven't liked a single villain in this show, nor have I disliked a single hero of this show. The range of emotion mostly can be summed up in black or white, hate or love, and always intensely defined. There is no middle ground, or gray area. So this comeback fight was so good because Ugo was going at it with such force and intensity. I was happy for Judal (not) that he was finally able to express his pent up overflowing of power and still come so short. Alas! he just came across someone that was thoroughly prepared with the following retort .... Judal, you are just a punk! Like the saying goes, there is always someone stronger. Much, much stronger. I was so enamored into this episode as it was playing it out the last few minutes, that I didn't notice how rigid I was as I sat up. I think I may also have forgotten to breathe or blink. Very very good episode!
