Some more rankings, Pafu 2005 fan rankings (this is ranked by about 92% girls and 8% guys btw). It's a magazine that caters to the yaoi fangirl~

Best Partners
1. Shibuya Yuuri & Conrad Weller, KKM
2. Edward Elric & Alphonse Elric, FMA
3. Kira Yamato & Athrun Zala, Gundam SEED DESTINY
4. Shibuya Yuuri & Wolfram, KKM
5. Mihashi Ren & Abe Takaya, Ookiku furikabutte

Anime
1. Kyou kara maou!
2. Gundam SEED DESTINY
3. Gekijouban Hagane no renkinjutsushi ~Shambala wo yuku mono ~ (FMA movie)
4. BLEACH
5. BLOOD+
6. Mushishi
7. Hachimitsu to Clover
8. LOVELESS

Seiyuu (2005 main role)
1. Sakurai Takahiro (Shibuya Yuuri, KKM)
2. Morikawa Toshiyuki (Conrad, KKM)
3. Ishida Akira (Athrun Zala, GSD)
4. Saiga Mitsuki (Wolfram, KKM)
5. Inoue Kazuhiko (Gunter, KKM)
6. Hoshi Souichirou (Kira Yamato, GSD)
7. Fukuyama Jun (Albert, Gankutsuou)
8. Paku Romi (Edward Elric, FMA)

No Destiny character made it to the male character ranking strangely enough though. So yeah GSD is popular with girls.

How utterly unsurprising Cloud & Sephiroth's seiyuus were top -_-;;

The lack of Toshihiko Seki and Tomakazu Seki makes me sad.

Yeah, as if not animating more than one friken new-move was Shinn's fault...Especially when S-F and even .//hackatsuki get like 20 moves a piece...Unfortunatley Athrun doesn't really have a move, I don't think he ever wanted one (Unless "BAKAAAA!!!!"-DESTINY limb-slash has a patent)....

I'm not speaking badly of him, but he's not in a role that a fangirl would like. No panties for him sorry. If you look the roles those seiyuu have, they are all the same. Pretty, young, with the tendency to look dreamily at their male friends. You see what I mean...

Nah. I'm not going to give myself away as an Elricest fan (I'm not a fan really... of FMA either. ), but Al/Ed is pretty damn popular. Just don't ask me how those doujinshi work.

~.~ I won't understand that pairing... ... and I don't understand why KKM is so popular in japan
sure, it's a show especial for yaoi fangirls (they don't only look dreamily at their male friends .... they get engaged) but the story is ... yeah fine and the jokes were funny at the beginning but they lost their charm around epi 40-50 ...

if you ask me ... destiny was more funny

Siegel Clyne: What part of 2005 were those 2005 polls taken? Looks to me like they're from before October of 2005.

Siegel Clyne, I have not yet seen Anime Grand Prix from my Animage magazines. I think I'll see it from June 2006 Animage, right?

Honestly, when I opened my March 2006 Animage, it did not say Favorite character but Character Best in standard English. By seeing your post, it seems to me Animage has their separate annual ranking for favorite(?) characters in each June.

I'm just glad that Cagalli had still manage a second... despite how many people dislike her transformation in GSD and all the downgrades she's been recieving from eps 45 on to the new SE >.>;
